Hi to all dudes and duddets of iraq4you. Just returned to Sydney after 2 weeks traveling starting at Brisban through to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, then across to Hobart in Tasmania before crossing back to Melbourne and onto Adelaide. We did all this in a clapped out ford which we purchased for $2000 from my cousin's friend. Its now for sale if anyone is interested? Thankfully we didn't break down once although we had a couple of near misses. Oz is an amazing country which has everything you could ever want and the ladies are something to behold. Next week we will fly to Western Australia and visit Perth and then onto Shark bay to swim with the dolphins. After we hope to travel onto Ningaloo reef to see the whale sharks. I haven't had much time to read the Iraqi news lately which is a blessing because I want a break from hearing about all the murder, corruption and bigotry that is now part of all Iraqis daily lives. Hope you are all well and keeping in high spirits. I will have a few days before we continue on with our journey so hopefully I can submitt a few posts before we leave for Perth. Catch you all later. LOB

Hi Dudes. Back in Sydney after another tour. Does this country ever finish? Seems like Australia can handle all our refugee crisis given all the empty spaces they have throughout the country.

What happened to this forum? all I can see are topics with cut and paste articles and no original contributions. And what happened to all the other members? I feel that as long as this forum is allowed to be occupied by people with multiple identities and cut & paste artists then you will have lost the whole point of its original conception. A debate forum can only be successful if its members debate issues rather than turn it into a news service, don't you agree! There are 2 very good administrators here but they need to be more strict with members who are filling this site with news articles that can be obtained from numerous other sources. Don't let it go downhill bros, this was once a very active DEBATE forum and now look at it. Haramaat!!!

Since my last post members (one particular member) has posted various reports under different names without adding any original or personal comments reducing this once fine debate forum to nothing more than a news wire.

The probelm iraq4you now faces is loss of potential new members who don't feel encouraged to post contributions because the guilty party is trying to turn this into his own personal weblog. Admin and moderators, if you fail to spot the obvious then you are just as guilty. No offense as I do respect you but this is the reality. This is a DEBATE FORUM and not a desperate housewives news agency. Get a grip on this before you have no forum left.

Dudes. Yet another day when a certain member fills this debate forum with cut & paste articles without bothering to make any original comment. The fact that he doesn't even care to offer a link to the articles original source only adds insult to injury. Where are the moderators? Or perhaps I'm the only one that thinks this C&P artist is ruining this forum? I joined in order to debate issues that are concerning Iraq and not to read second hand articles posted by a member with 4 different identities. I noticed in the subject list that there is a thread under heading HEADLINES & NEWS ARTICLES and another titled SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE HERE. Surely these are more suitable outlets for our C&P specialist to post his news reports? I wouldn't mind if the guy even bothered to offer his own opinion but this is not the case as you can see from his many posts. Wake up dudes before you have no more forum left!

Hi LOB. Welcome back, I hope you had or having enough fun for all of us.

Other members and I have mentioned this a number of times before, however, it seems that our friend(s) has/have no grasp of what this site is all about, so all we get from him/them is news articles without any contribution of his/their own on the subject.
I personally have no right to remove these posts, so all I do is ignore them, and hope that soon he/they will wakeup and comprehend what is going on in reality. Unless I hear otherwise from the administrator of the site, I will have to allow them to post these articles as long as they are not breaking any of the site and forum rules.

Hi Harry,
Yes its been a great adventure, one that I will never forget. Everyone here is still in mourning because Australia are out of the Rugby world cup and boy do the Aussies hate losing, especially against England. Having said that they have been extremely welcoming and hospitable to me and my cousins and we never had any trouble even in the rural areas which can be racist to say the least. I have loved Oz and can't recommend it highly enough.

I was surprised to see what has happened to this forum since I left for Australia a couple of months ago. So many of the regulars have disappeared and I'm pretty sure its because they are sick of reading the same regurgitated rubbish over and over again. Sadiq only posts Anti Kurdish rhetoric and our multiple identity expert only posts news reports (Sadiq please don't respond to this post, please!). This is what is killing the forum. Potential members will see the state of the site and decide that its not worth making any contribution because the content does not encourage active participation. I wonder what our C&P merchant is thinking when he posts articles and then answers his own posts by pretending to be someone else? Quite sad really. I noticed he has been a member since Jan 2006 and at the start he was actually participating in discussions. Then he created his 2 main characters and has since added a forth. Then it was his "I only write in Arabic because English is the devils language" stance followed by the youtube thread debacle. What is the reason behind such behavior? What can he possible gain from posting to himself? Surely he would have far more to gain if he participated in open debates with other members or am I being too obvious? Its also funny to note that his 3 main characters are from different areas of Iraq, one from Mosul, one from Anbar and the other a Najafi. This allows him to pretend that he has inside knowledge of what is taking place on the ground at home but its all a sham and I hope you don't buy into it. When was the last time we had a contribution from him in which he actually gives us an insight about how things are developing in Anbar of example? The answer is never! As I said, its sad but it is also ruining the forum for the rest of us. Harry, whats the point in having moderators is they are powerless to moderate? Surely when a member posts repeated news items without expecting or even wanting other members to respond he going against the rules of the forum. As I said in my earlier post, iraq4you offers members the opportunity to post news items in other threads so why do you accept it when the offending party uses the wrong section for his alter egos to run riot? Shouldn't the moderators at least warn the member of his indescretions? Can you explain how this actualy works?

I will be returning to Amman in a couple of weeks after which I will have time to post regularly again. Best of luck and keep up the good work. LOB

LOB,

Hope you are doing good and got plenty of sunshine down-under!

I agree with you about the forums and how recent posts have been dominated by forwarded or pasted articles and less practical debating, which may have decreased the number of potential regular members.
As Harry said, not much can be done about such posts unless the site rules have been strickly broken.

The only thing we can do is keep debating and sending practical posts rather than bulky copied/pasted articles.

Hi KIDS, I am back, the BIG MOUTH from over yonder...$ issues have kept me off this and other items.  Many x's I do not post as I wonder if my nonsense is not knowledgeable enough as I don't have time to be as informed as some.  Also, being an American woman occasionally am somewhat concerned about stepping on toes, so to speak, since your culture is different than ours.  Honestly, on occasion I do get "out there" so to speak, however, rest assured that my HEART is ALWAYS in the right place and I do CARE about your people.

However, I shall start up again to some degree, oh again had some computer issues, which for today anyway appear to be sorted.

Recently the news aired a short segment about the horrors your children face, I do not remember the exact numbers, it was HORRIBLE!!!  Rapes, murders, I can not imagine this.  According to the news there is ONLY one psychiatrist working with these familys/innocent children.  So very very sad.  Where are the American Movie Stars?  They seem to do so much in other countries...

I am praying for this situation.

Welcome back YellowSunshine,

I am glad that you have seen the reality as it is important that the truth and reality of whats happening in Iraq and the suffering of the Iraqi people gets viewed everywhere around the world and in particular the US.

As for the American actors (and there are many I admire), unfortunately Hollywood has over many years been under the influence of various pressure groups (that I dont want to mention who but its kind of obvious) that dont seem to care much on Iraq or the Middle East. They would do 1000 films on the Holocaust or the 1972 Munich Games hijaking for example but not 1 single film on the Iraq war, the Palestinian conflict, or the Armenian genocide.

Hi Tigris, plenty of sunshine but no ozone!

In fact the member in question has not posted anything other than cut & paste articles ever since I joined the forum. It seems he has nothing better to do with his time. It would be far more acceptable if he/them would at least post a few lead comments using his own brain before posting the reports. At least that would allow members to argue or agree with his stance. His only purpose is to fill the forum with his and his aliases posts. I guess he must be quite young or very bored! Anyway each to his own. We will do our best to offset his meaningless posts with our own pro-active variety.

could be off base with my comment but here goes, Pres. Bush was on the tele yesterday and mentioned that Turkey had offered to back the US with troups, however, Bushie said that he had told them that was not a good idea.  interesting...  he also REFUSED (again) to answer David Gregory's (political reporter/msnbc news) questions re. Israel/syria...  did the same the last x he was on.  However, i applaud Mr. Gregory for his attempts again.

Some of the Media here is taking a stand as are some actors/and those in the public eye against this "war"... big time. appears many are waking up.  finally, however, they can only voice their opinions, put a tad bit of pressure on, not make the decisions

Dude, given that you have repeatedly voiced your hatred for Kurds and the government of Kurdistan, I would have thought you'd be happy that the Turks decided to sanction raids into northern Iraq? What I meant by my post was that as usual you only offer a negative statement without elaborating on why you object to the Syrian governments support for the Turkish decision.

Seems to me like a contradiction on your part.

Hi YS. Unfortunately its too little too late as far as we are concerned. The damage has already been done and it is irreversible. Its of little comfort to Iraqis that a few actors have decided to stand up against George 'dumbo' Bush.

They got tired of all the nonsense that Sadiq posts, and the cut & paste articles that have no value or reason to be posted, since the person who posts them has no opinion of his own on the subject. If I was not a moderator, I would not log on to the sight myself.
