ان المتتبعين لتصريحات السيد المالكي يلاحظوا انه بدا يقدم هذه الايام انتقادات لبوش وكوندليزا رايس وخاصة بعد ان صرح صديقه السابق ان حكومة المالكي اقتربت من نهايتها نتيجة تماطلها في معالجة مسئلة المليشيات( جيش المهدي ومليشيات بدر) وطريقته في سترها من خلال تحوياها الى مؤسسات للمجتمع المدني التي لم تنطلي على الساسة الامريكان وعرفوا ان حكومته غاطسة بالولاء لايران حتى النهاية وان ايران طامعة بنفط العراق وان هذه الحكومة مليئة بالحقد على مكونات الشعب العراق الاخرى وقد تجلى ذلك من خلال عدد القتلى والمهجرين من هذه الطائفةاو تلك من قبل المليشيات سيئة الصيت خلال سنة 2006 وتسبب ذلك في تهورالناس للانتماء للقاعدة ومساعدة اعوان النظام السايق لزيادة العنف وعرف العالم الاسلامي مدى الحقد الطائفي من خلال التصرفات في اعدام صدام يوم عيد المسلمين والتمثيل بالجثث فخرجت امريكا عن صمتها فقد فضحها صديق الامس وما عليها الا التشهير به وازالته من كرسي الحكم لتبرء ساحتها من حقدهم على الطوائف الاخرى وتقول للعالم ان امريكا ليس مع اي طائفة بل مع الحق ومع حكومة وطنية تنقذ العراق من تعاقب حكم صدام باخر دامي اكثر منه

السلام عليكم اخي العراقي الكريم لقد صبر شعبنا كثيرا لانظمة التعسف وحكومات الفبركة الامريكية ونحن العراقيين لا نصبر على ضيم وكان املنا ان تاتي حكومة منتخبة معتدلة لتسير بالركب الى شاطيء الامان الا اننا فوجئنا بحكومة الطوائف التي تتحكم بها المليشيات الملطخة ايديها بالدم العراقي حتى ان المحتل الذي لا يهمه دمنا الشريف رفض الاستمرار بحكومة تقودها ادوات القتل وبعض المرجعيات التي لا تعرف ما يدور بالساحة حتى ان قسم منها يريد تقسيم العراق الى دويلات باسم الفدراليات ويضع الفيزا بين مدننا العزيزة التي هي شريان حياتنا واليوم نرى كيف ان هذه الحكومة في ليلة ونهار تحول مجرمين الشوارع من المليشيات السيئة الصيت الى ملائكة اي المجتمع المدني الذي يسمى بالغرب اليد الحنون على ابناء الشعب وما هذا الشيء الا الضحك على الذقون والعراقيين اليوم يطالبون هذه الحكومة بالقصاص من هذه المليشيات بما فيها القاعدة والاسلامية المتطرفة واعوان النظام السابق اضافة الى سيئة الصيت وهي بدر والمهدي التي اضاعت الارواح اوالتنازل عن الحكم وانشاء حكومة وحدة وطنية وهنا اطلب من المشاركين في هذا الموقع التصويت من خلال ارائهم المحترمة والسلام

Al Ani: As far as I'm concerned this is good news. I just hope this strategy continues and isn't just a show. I think we all know the future of Maliki as PM depends totally on whether he can purge Iraq from the Militias. I hope he proves us all wrong and succeeds because we don't have the luxury of time. Another 7 people died today in Baghdad but these are the official figures not counting the many others who will have lost their lives at the hands of the Militias and common criminals.

Iraqi leader cuts al-Sadr ties U.S. intelligence on militia behind prime minister's decision, officials say By Steven R. Hurst / Associated Press - January 22, 2007
BAGHDAD - Iraq's prime minister has dropped his protection of an anti-American cleric's Shiite militia after U.S. intelligence convinced him the group was infiltrated by death squads, two officials said Sunday.
In a desperate bid to fend off an all-out American offensive, the radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr last Friday ordered the 30 lawmakers and six Cabinet ministers under his control to end their nearly two-month boycott of the government. They were back at their jobs Sunday.
Al-Sadr had already ordered his militia fighters not to display their weapons. They have not, however, ceded control of the formerly mixed neighborhoods they have captured, killing Sunnis or forcing them to abandon their homes and businesses.
Saturday's U.S. death toll climbed to 25 after the military reported Sunday that six more troops had died Saturday in the deadliest day in two years for American forces.
The latest military reports said four soldiers and a Marine had died during combat Saturday in Anbar province and one soldier was killed in a roadside bombing northeast of Baghdad.
Nineteen of the deaths were reported Saturday, 12 in a Black Hawk helicopter crash, five in an attack on a security meeting in the Shiite holy city of Karbala and two others in roadside bomb attacks elsewhere. It was the third-highest daily toll for U.S. forces since the war began in March 2003.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's turnaround on the Mahdi Army was puzzling because as late as Oct. 31, he had intervened to end a U.S. blockade of Sadr City, the northeast Shiite enclave in Baghdad that is headquarters to the militia. It is held responsible for much of the sectarian bloodshed that has turned the capital into a battle zone over the past year.
Shiite militias began taking revenge after more than two years of incessant bomb and shooting attacks by Sunni insurgents.
Sometime between then and Nov. 30, when the prime minister met President Bush, al-Maliki was convinced of the truth of American intelligence reports which contended, among other things, that his protection of al-Sadr's militia was isolating him in the Arab world and among moderates at home, the two government officials said.
''Al-Maliki realized he couldn't keep defending the Mahdi Army because of the information and evidence that the armed group was taking part in the killings, displacing people and violating the state's sovereignty,'' said one official.
Both he and a second government official who confirmed the account refused to be identified by name because the information was confidential. Both officials are intimately aware of the prime minister's thinking.
''The Americans don't act on rumors but on accurate intelligence. There are many intelligence agencies acting on the ground, and they know what's going on,'' said the second official, confirming the Americans had given al-Maliki overwhelming evidence about the Mahdi Army's deep involvement in the sectarian slaughter.
Sunni Muslims are the majority sect in key Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt, all of which have shunned al-Maliki. Shiites, long oppressed by Iraqi's Sunni minority, vaulted to power with the ouster of Saddam Hussein.
Many of the leading Shiite figures in Iraq have deep historical ties to Iran, also a majority Shiite state, whose growing muscle in the Middle East is deeply threatening to the autocratic Sunni regimes in the region.

Latest report from AFP claims more than 600 Jihoosh Al Medi have been arrested. I hope this is the start of a real campaign to get rid of these criminals who have ruined Baghdad. Ansar Al Sunna, Badr Brigade and other so called freedom fighters next Insha Allah.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - More than 600 fighters loyal to radical Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and 16 of their leaders have been captured by security forces in a crackdown on the cleric's militia, the US military said.
"There are currently over 600 illegal Jaish al-Mahdi (JAM) militia in detention awaiting prosecution from the government of Iraq," a military statement said.
It said Iraqi and US forces had also detained "16 high-level JAM militiamen and killed one JAM commander" in a series of operations.
The military added that five of the high-level individuals detained are from Sadr City, Baghdad's impoverished Shiite bastion loyal to Sadr.
Combined Iraqi and US forces have carried out 52 operations in the past 45 days focused on the JAM, or Mahdi Army, and 42 operations targeting Sunni extremists, the statement said.
The recent detentions are in addition to six other Mahdi militia leaders who have been detained since the beginning of October.
"The detainees are responsible for attacks against the government of Iraq, Iraqi citizens and coalition forces," the military said.
"Criminal activities by these individuals propagated instability within Iraq and their removal from the social structure is a critical start to providing the Iraqi populace with a safe and stable environment."
The operations against the Sunni extremists resulted in the capture of 33 cell leaders in Baghdad, the statement said.
These detainees are "responsible for foreign fighter facilitation, car bomb facilitation, and propaganda operations," the military statement said.
Iraqi and US forces, reinforced by up to 10 brigades, are preparing a broad offensive against insurgent and militia groups focused on Baghdad in an attempt to quell sectarian violence that killed tens of thousands of Iraqis last year.
The US military has regularly charged that Sadr's Mahdi Army is heavily involved in sectarian killing of Sunni Arabs in Baghdad and other regions of the country.
The latest quarterly Pentagon report, released last month, said Sadr's milita was the largest threat to security and "has replaced Al-Qaeda in Iraq as the most dangerous accelerant of potentially self-sustaining sectarian violence in Iraq."
Sadr's Iranian-backed militia is believed to have up to 60,000 fighters, and is blamed for much of the violence against minority Sunnis.
US and Iraqi authorities aim to track down these fighters as part of a new Baghdad security plan announced by US President George W. Bush earlier this month.
The head of the US-led coalition forces in Iraq, General George Casey, recently said that "all militias will be targeted" as part of the new plan.
On Friday, security forces captured a top Sadr aide from Baghdad, Sheikh Abdul Hadi al-Darraji, who is the Baghdad spokesman for the group.
Darraji was detained in an early morning raid along with four others from a Shiite religious site near Sadr City. Sadr and the Mahdi Army are known for their anti-American stance.
Before joining Iraq's political process, Sadr led two bloody rebellions against US forces in April and August 2004, a year after the US-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein.
Sadr's fighters suffered heavy casualties in battles fought in the Shiite holy city of Najaf.

احتكارات النفط الغربية تخطط لنهب ثروة العراق النفطية فيما يشهد العراق تدهوراً خطيراً في الوضع الامني وتتصاعد اعمال العنف الطائفي، لتحصد ارواح آلاف العراقيين الابرياء، ويحتدم الجدل حول خطط امريكية - عراقية لضبط الامن في العاصمة بغداد، يتواصل بشكل حثيث ومنذ أشهر عدة، وراء الكواليس وبهدوء، بعيداً عن اصوات الانفجارات وصرخات الضحايا، وضع اللمسات الاخيرة على مسودة نهائية لمشروع "قانون النفط" قبل ان يعرض على الحكومة العراقية تمهيداُ لتمريره في البرلمان. وكشفت تقارير صحفية مؤخراً ان مسودة مشروع هذا القانون، التي تدخلت الحكومة الامريكية في إعدادها عبر مؤسسة استشارية تابعة، سيمنح شركات النفط الغربية الحق في استغلال احتياطي النفط الضخم الذي يملكه العراق، بطريقة ترهن ثروة البلاد النفطية لهذه الاحتكارات على مدى طويل وتفرّط بحقوق الشعب العراقي، في انتهاك صارخ للسيادةالاقتصاديةالوطنية وبالرغم من تطمينات متكررة من اقطاب الادارة الامريكية، وممثليها السابقين في سلطة الاحتلال المؤقتة، بأن هدف الحرب لم يكن الاستحواذ على نفط العراق واحتياطيه، وهو ثالث اكبر احتياطي نفطي في العالم (115 مليار برميل)، وانه سيبقى ملكاً لشعبه، فان معطيات متزايدة تكشف مجدداً حقيقة هذه النوايا. وسيكون ضرباً من الوهم الاعتقاد بان الولايات المتحدة سترضى في نهاية المطاف بالخروج من العراق دون ان تجني ثمار "استثمارها" واكلافه الباهظة التي تقدر بـ 344 مليار دولار حتى الآن (حسب تقرير للكونغرس الامريكي)، وبكلفة شهرية للحرب تبلغ حوالي 8 مليارات دولار. وهو ما عبّرت عنه وزيرة الخارجية الاميركية كوندوليزا رايس في مقابلة مؤخراً (21 كانون الاول 2006) بقولها ان العراق "يستحق الاستثمار" بالارواح والدولارات الامريكية. في السابع من الشهر الجاري، نشرت صحيفة "إندبندنت اون صنداي" تقريراً واسعاً تصدر صفحتها الاولى تناول مسألة بالغة الاهمية سيتضمنها، كما يبدو، مشروع "قانون النفط" المرتقب حسب مسودة جرى تسريبها. فقد اشارت الى ان بنوده تمثل خروجاً جذرياً عما هو معتاد بالنسبة الى البلدان النامية. فبموجب نظام يعرف بـ"اتفاقات تقاسم الانتاج" ستتمكن احتكارات نفطية عالمية مثل "بريتيش بتروليوم" و "شل" في بريطانيا، و"إكسون" و"تشيفرون" في امريكا، من توقيع اتفاقيات لاستخراج النفط العراقي لمدة تصل الى 30 عاماً. واشارت الصحيفة الى ان المعلومات في تقريرها استندت على نسخة لمسودة مشروع القانون، تقع في 40 صفحة، جرى تداولها بين شركات نفط غربية في تموز (يوليو) 2006 ! ولفت التقرير الى انه لم تطرأ، كما يبدو، تغييرات مهمة على المسودة النهائية. وتسمح صيغة "اتفاقات تقاسم الانتاج" (او "عقود المشاركة بالانتاج" **) للبلد المعني بأن يحتفظ بملكيته القانونية لنفطه، لكنها تعطي حصة من الارباح الى الشركات العالمية التي تستثمر في البنية التحتية وتشغيل آبار وانابيب ومصافي النفط. وفي حال تبني هذه الصيغة سيكون العراق اول من يطبقها على صعيد منتجي النفط الرئيسيين في الشرق الاوسط. فالسعودية وايران، اللذان يحتلان المرتبتين الاولى والثانية بين مصدري النفط في العالم، يفرضان سيطرة مشددة على صناعتهما النفطية من خلال شركات تملكها الدولة من دون مشاركة اجنبية ذات شأن، وهو الحال ايضاً بالنسبة الى معظم دول منظمة البلدان المصدرة للنفط (اوبك). ومصدر المخاوف بشأن تورط العراق في مثل هذه الاتفاقات يكمن في موقفه التفاوضي الضعيف. فقد ينتهي الأمر الى تحقيق "اسوأ نتيجة" حسب احد خبراء "بلاتفورم"، وهي منظمة مهتمة بشؤون حقوق الانسان والبيئة تراقب الصناعة النفطية في العالم. والشروط التي تتحكم بـ"اتفاقات تقاسم الانتاج" في مسودة مشروع "قانون النفط" شروط سخية تسمح بتثبيتها لمدة لا تقل عن 30 عاماً. ويبدو انها تسمح لشركات النفط العالمية، بعد ان تسترجع ما انفقته على تطوير الحقل النفطي، ان تحتفظ بـ20% من الارباح، فيما يذهب المتبقي الى الحكومة العراقية. ويشير خبراء في صناعة النفط الى انها نسبة عالية جداً بالمقارنة مع النسبة المعتادة في بلدان اكثر استقراراً حيث تبلغ 10% في العادة. وخلال فترة استعادة اكلافها، ستتمكن الاحتكارات، وفقاً لهذه الاتفاقات المجحفة، من جني 60-70% من العائدات النفطية، بينما تبلغ النسبة المعتادة حوالي 40%. وتابع تقرير "إندبندنت اون صنداي" ليكشف ايضاً ان ثلاث جهات خارجية اتيحت لها فرصة تمحيص مسودة هذا التشريع "اكثر مما اتيح لمعظم العراقيين". فقد اطلعت عليها الحكومة الامريكية وشركات نفطية كبرى في تموز (يوليو) الماضي، ثم صندوق النقد الدولي في ايلول (سبتمبر) الماضي. هكذا، حتى قبل ان تطرح المسودة على الحكومة العراقية والبرلمان العراقي !! لم اطلع حتى تاريخ كتابة هذه السطور على أي تصريح عن ناطق رسمي للحكومة العراقية، او لوزارة النفط العراقية، ينفي المعلومات التي اوردها تقرير الصحيفة المذكورة. وهي، في حال التثبت من صحتها، معلومات خطيرة لا يمكن السكوت عنها، وتستدعي تقديم توضيح عاجل بشأنها من رئاسة الحكومة العراقية ووزير النفط، ومناقشتها في الحكومة والبرلمان، وفي المنابر الاعلامية، وبمشاركة فعلية من نقابات النفط العراقية، امام انظار الشعب العراقي وبمشاركة تنظيماته السياسية والاجتماعية. فالشعب هو المعني قبل أي جهة اجنبية بكل ما يمس ثرواته الوطنية وفي مقدمتها النفط. انه انتهاك فظ لحقوق الشعب العراقي السيادية لا يجب التهاون معه اطلاقاً، خصوصاً في الظروف الاستثنائية الحالية، في ظل سيادة وطنية منتقصة واستمرار الوجود العسكري الاجنبي وضعف مؤسسات الدولة، وتدني كفاءة البرلمان الحالي وعجزه عن اداء مهامه، بالاضافة الى الفساد المتفشي الى مديات غير مسبوقة في كل مرافق الدولة ومن ضمنها وزارة النفط ، كما كشف ذلك تقرير مفتشها العام. كل هذه الحقائق والمعطيات تستوجب وقفة عاجلة للتصدي لمحاولة تمرير البنود المتعلقة بـ "اتفاقات تقاسم الانتاج" في مشروع قانون النفط، وقطع الطريق على مساعي احتكارات النفط العالمية لنهب واهدار ثروة العراق النفطية، التي تمثل المصدر الاساسي لتمويل اعادة الاعمار واستنهاض الاقتصاد الوطني، مستغلة في ذلك واقع الاحتلال والنفوذ الامريكي، وحالة الفوضى والانفلات الامني والعنف الطائفي، وغياب الارادة الوطنية المستقلة. ارتباطاً بذلك، يجب رفض الدخول في صفقات على حساب مصالح الشعب العراقي واجيال المستقبل، ورفض تبرير التنازلات المهينة بذريعة الحاجة الى التكنولوجيا ورأس المال لتطوير الاحتياطات النفطية وزيادة حجم صادرات النفط، والنظر في بدائل اخرى مؤقتة واتفاقات منصفة تضمن تطوير القطاع النفطي وابقاءه تحت السيطرة الوطنية.

US suggests Iraq PM ordered Sadr crackdown by Jay Deshmukh Wed Jan 24 (AP)
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki himself initiated a crackdown on the militia of radical Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in which hundreds were arrested, a top US official has suggested. US ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad said Wednesday political and diplomatic moves by Maliki had failed to achieve results so he resorted to force against militiamen of Sadr, a key ally in his embattled government.
"Over time he (Maliki) became exasperated and disappointed that political engagement did not produce the kind of change he had hoped, and then he changed the mix allowing more the use of force by Iraqi and coalition forces against JAM (Jaish al-Mahdi) elements who were breaking the law," Khalilzad told Western reporters.
On Monday, the US military said more than 600 JAM, or Mahdi Army fighters, were arrested. The Mahdi Army is accused of being heavily involved in sectarian violence that has killed thousands of people in Baghdad since last year.
Sadr is a key ally of Maliki who became premier in April 2005 with support from lawmakers in the cleric's political group. Maliki's changed anti-Sadr stance, as suggested by Khalilzad, was a stark contrast to last November when he reportedly called off a US military operation against the Mahdi Army in its bastion Sadr City. US and Iraqi forces sealed off the district to search for a kidnapped US soldier, but Maliki reportedly intervened and called off the operation.
But on Wednesday, the outgoing US envoy suggested the recent offensive against the Mahdi Army could well be the result of a Maliki order.
"I think he (Maliki) changed the mix of the instrument," permitting more arrests from "the movement of those breaking the law and involved in violent activities and death squad activities," Khalilzad said.
"He felt that perhaps he had exhausted political and diplomatic engagement which had not produced desired results."
Khalilzad nonetheless welcomed the return of the Sadr political group to the government, but also warned it could also be a tactic against the current offensive.
"If it is a change of heart, meaning a strategy, and submitting to the rule of law, it is a good thing. But if it is change of tactic then we need to be cautious as tactics could change."
Sadr's bloc has 32 MPs in Iraq's 275-member parliament and six ministers in Maliki's cabinet. The group suspended its participation in the political process after Maliki's November 30 meeting with US President George W. Bush in Jordan. On Sunday the group ended its boycott amid the offensive against the Mahdi Army.
Khalilzad suggested the political group's return could be an attempt to keep the militia safe.
"There is an ongoing concern about death squad activities, the future of militias," he said. There is a "a concern that they might be lying low, avoiding a conflict in order to fight another day.
"We will have to see what happens. It will be too soon to say that everything is positive from now. But there are some positive signs at this moment."
Sadr's militia fought two bloody rebellions against US troops in 2004 in the Shiite holy city of Najaf when many militiamen were killed. Later Sadr joined the political process and emerged as a powerful Shiite kingmaker. Khalilzad said Iraqi and US officials would continue cracking down on militias, including the Mahdi Army.
"What we want is clear... support for the security plan, strengthening of Iraqi security forces, rule of law, cooperating (with) security forces against those break the law," he added.

أعلن الرئيس الأميركي في السادس والعشرين من يناير/كانون الثاني الحالي أن من حق القوات الأميركية المتواجدة في العراق التعامل مع العملاء الإيرانيين داخل الحدود العراقية، قائلا إن أي شخص يلحق الأذى بالقوات الأميركية أو يمنعها من تحقيق أهدافها بالعراق أو يلحق الأذى بمدنيين عراقيين سيتم التعامل معه بالقتل أو الاعتقال. إيران بدورها اعتبرت تهديدات واشنطن باستهداف من وصفتهم بالعملاء الإيرانيين في العراق بأنها عمل إرهابي يخالف الأعراف الدولية، ووصفت وهل هي محاولة من واشنطن لتبرير فشلها في هذا البلد. فكيف تنظر إلى القرار الأميركي بالقضاء على كل العملاء الإيرانيين هناك؟ وهل سيسهم في الحد من التدخل الإيرني في العراق؟
