Calm -> Who are those people??????? (1/10/2007 1:17:20 AM)

Salam

A friend sent me this yesterday, I was amazed, sickened and ashamed to be called Iraqi.  How on earth did we allow ourselves to go down to this level?  Who decided that those thugs rule us?
What a waste of a country!
What are we bringing our children to see?
Who is setting an example for democracy?
Have a look at this my friends, whether you are Sunni, Shiit, or whatever.  No wonder 6 million Iraqis live outside Iraq!  I am not surprised.

Yes, I actauly saw the interview live on Jazeera. Juburi is a nobody, an opportunist who had close links to Uday despite being exiled in Syria. Since returning to Iraq he’s been charged for siphoning off salaries for ghost employees of a pipeline protection force he oversaw in Salah Al Din. His son, Yazin, has also been charged, as his company is accused of misusing funds earmarked for feeding the protection force. Forget him, he is a war profiteer and scum.

I don't know much about Sadiq Al Mousawi except he is a member of the Monarchy party. Perhaps someone else can fill in the gaps.

“I was amazed, sickened and ashamed to be called Iraqi.  How on earth did we allow ourselves to go down to this level?  Who decided that those thugs rule us?”

Wake up! These thugs have ruled us for 30 years. Typical Baathist behavior and anyone who’s lived in Iraq would have come across such people on a regular basis especially when doing basic Murajaat at government departments.

“What a waste of a country!”

They wasted it (Saddam and his Baath Party).

“What are we bringing our children to see?”
Don’t worry; they’re used to it by now.

"Who is setting an example for democracy?"

No one, we’ve never had a democracy before so no one knows how to actually make it work. Instead they all want to gain as much out of it as they can while there’s still a chance. Saddam has his billions and they want theirs.

Have a look at this my friends, whether you are Sunni, Shiit, or whatever.  No wonder 6 million Iraqis live outside Iraq!  I am not surprised.

Don’t tell me you’ve only just figured than one out???[sm=smiley5.gif] Where have you been?
