Since the Iraq/Iran war, the new generation of Iraqis don't know what peace is. They grew up with guns in their hands, and think that this is the only solution to all problems.
Our children!!! They days when I grew up, watching our young men andd women studying under street lights in all weathers to educate themselves. And now, it isn't safe to stand outside the front door.
We are handing guns to our children instead of books. In the name of Allah we are destroying the future, not just ours, but generations after generations, and all what we worried about which is the best day to hang Saddam.
How can you celebrate the festivals when your brother, sister, mother, uncle, a neighbour is dead or moaning someone. We cannot go on pretending that someone will come and solve our problems for us. We can celebrate every day when no one gets killed, when our children pass an examination in school, when they graduate from University. We can celebrate when we have flowers growing again in our gardens, when we have electric, and water to drink. When our mothers and sisters can go out to the market and enjoy shopping like other women in the world. We can celebrate when can enjoy life without turning back to see who is there.
God asked us to forgive others, to forgive our enemy. I love to make Iraq the envy of all countries. Prove everyone wrong, we are not a bunch of lawless cowerds, but an educated force ready to build for better tomorrow.
This is my dream.
