hi, everybody Everyone says, there is a huge iraqi community in london, but whenever we visit the UK, we didn't recognise it. I live far away, in east-europe, and i know almost every iraqi here, they are very-very few, but in every occasion, we try to do a sort of party, and we meet every saturday . Where do londoners meet each other??? If I come next time to London, where can I meet anyone?? I'm sure, every community, in depends of their political, or religional opinion, is a little bit separated from the others, but I'm still young and independent from politics . zazie
The Iraqi community in London are scattered across the city. However in terms of meeting places there are a few places were alot of them hang out.
Edgware Road is one of them. In the weekends and evenings, you'll find many of them in the gahawee (coffee shops) and Arabic/Middle Eastern restaurants there. Mostly Arabs & Kurds.
