Hi ashurbaniball I looked in the internet for the zilabia recipe but I did not find it and I looked in our Iraqi cook book and I could not find one too. I have website I actually use a lots but it does not have Zalibia in it http://www.bentqatar.com/cook/modules.php you can use it if you need other things other than Zalibia .I'm really sorry I could not help you.
Thanks

Hi guys how are doing. I want over my untie house and I got the recepie from her cooking book since you guys do not have the recepie for it. So, there we go GOOD LUCK guys.

1. 2 cups of cornstrach
2. 4 cups of flour
3. 2 tsp baking powder
4. 3 cups water
5. 1 tbsp yeast
6. 1/2 tsp salt
7. Oil for frying
8. Sheerya (Syrup)
Opitional:
  •  Sugar
  •  Water
  •  Touch of Lemon juice
  • Touch of rose water.

-Place the sugar in soucepan , cover with water ( For thicker sheerya barely cover it with water for thiner sheeya add little of water). Let it boil and add the Lemon juice. The longer the sheerya stay on the thicker it becomes.  Allow it to boil for several minutes and then add the rose water it would be better if you add them at the end before you remove it from the heat.

- Mix the water and the yeast together , set it a side in warm draft free area until the yeast bubbles.
- Add the flour and the corn starch.  Then add the salt and the beking powder. Mix them all. The batter will be of medium/thicker consistancy.  Cover it in warm free draft area for about an hour.
- Warm oil in a large frying pan leave on medium/low heat. Place the batter in tea pot or a anything with a spout and pour in lattice like shape into the oil. Fry it until it turns colden color. Remove drain and then soak it in the cold sheerya. Wait for a minute and then remove it and serve.

I hope that was hopful I try my best (Bel3afya all).
