as salaamu alaikum,
I need this information regarding marriage to an Iraqi man I have known him for 7 years and went to Jordan in 2001 and met him. He says to me that an Iraqi cannot do a fiance visa to the usa and I do not understand why not? because i will have the expense of going to jordan or syria for a marriage with no guarantee that he will pass immigration in the united states. So I donot know what to do. Please if you have some information regarding like you said above dos and donts regarding international marriage for Iraqis can you please so kindly pass it on to me I am Najah U. Aishah. ummata@earthlink.net I would certainly appreciate it because he cannot explain to me what the problem is with this and why his government or sect may disapprove of a fiance visa. I do not know who to ask and do not know if they can possibly answer my question from the embassy of iraq. shukrun jazakillah khair. Najah

Hi Najah,

It depends if the guy is a full US resident but I would suggest you write a personal message to Harry, Tigris or Admin as they all live in the USA and might be able to advise you.

A word of advice, never put your personal details in these types of forums as there are a lot of crazy people out there who might take advantage.
