hello friends

it has been so long since i posted, quiet honeslty i have been disqusted with the iraqi politics where people come last and politicians and their grab on power comes first

i am happy that a more secular politician won the election but sad at the same time that the other parties who are linked and controlled by iran are trying what they do best at keeping
hold on their power by ignoring the wish of the iraqi people and forcing the iraqis into accepting this system that runs on the basis of majority dictatorship vs. a true dimocracy

those who are friendly with iran would like the united states to leave as soon as possible because they have their iranian agents to back them up where as the others who are powerless in this mess would like the united states to stay

i truely wish that iran gets into a war with some country other than iraq so they are busy with their own people and leave others alone! i wish for iran to be a much less powerful country inthe region so it doesn't mess around with countries that are powerless such as iraq

i wish for those warlords that hide behind the quran to leave iraq and let the people and the country to move on

i wish i wish

Hello and welcome back brother. I am so happy to see such a great member return to this forum.

As for your post, I truely cannot agree with you any more, and very well put - I can't have said it any better myself.

I am not sure if this is exactly a good thing or a bad thing, but there are many other countries who are vying for influence over our helpless dead and rotting carcas of a country. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan with their Al Qaeda terrorists, the West and even now Turkey! Iraq has again become a battleground between East and West - as well as a whole bunch of other powers who want to control it - just like Mesopotamia has always been in History. However, none of those powers have anywhere near as much influence and control over Iraq as much as Iran, who is practically running the country. Just the other day, an Iranian Cleric openly said that they wish to create a Greater Iran empire (Persian Empire again) that controls the whole Middle-East!

Luckily, the US has a strong vested interest in Iraq, and unless they want to lose everything - their whole economy is now crumbling after all they spent on the war - they will try and push Iran out. They tried causing trouble in Iran - like all those Secularist/Green Revolution Protesters against the Ayatollahs - but that seemed to have failed, and Iran still rules Iraq. I don't want Iraq to become an American puppet - but believe me bro - I think ANYTHING - even the devil himself - are way, way better than Iran controlling Iraq. We have suffered enough in Iraq, and we don't want to be cut off from the rest of the world again by being friends with failing states like Russia and Iran. At least if we are pro-West, we will gain a lot like Jordan, the UAE and even Saudi Arabia now - even during British influence and the Monarchy, Iraq was developed so much, and people where free and happy. Though it is a very sad fact that Iraq has never really been independant, and has always been controlled by one empire or another, but never it's people.

I just hope the US keeps trying against Iran - they are pushing forwards with the whole nuclear weapons stuff and hopefully might do sanctions against Iran. Also, most Iraqi people are getting more and more annoyed at Maliki/Mooqi's government's failures, and hopefully their appeal especially amongst uneducated, hate-filled religious zealots will decrease over time too.

All I can do is just hope too my friend. Hopefully this thing resolves for all the Iraqi people as soon as possible - we have all suffered way too much for way too long already.
Take care all.

The Iraqi people have suffered way too much.

That's because the Western world, our neighboring countries and our very own "leaders" (along with their loyal supporters) have a tendency of destroying us and our country for their own benefit. Can't have the land of the two rivers rising up again.
