  7lbs, 4ozs and 18 1/2ins.  A perfect little girl.

That's me on the right, my son-in-law is on my right, and his new born daughter in his arms.  You probably can't tell, but she's PERFECT & BEAUTIFUL!

I did pretty darn well with my first born grandchild.  My daughter and son-in-law did a good job, too.

Oh, and by the way?  The reason I picked you alls' site to post this very important information?  My newborn grand-daughter is of Iraqi heritage.  Her Father is from Iraq, is a refugi, here in the USA for ten years and one heck of a good man.  We're fortunate to have him.

Because He and his family are of the ****e Faith (Culture - Belief - I'm not sure how to appropriately phrase the seperation between the ****es and Sunnis), Saddam Hussein killed his oldest brother and his Father.  His oldest sister died of cancer.  He has seven living siblings and their families as well as his mother (who is very ill with kidney disease) back in Iraq.

Because of the terror his family was experiencing he left home at sixteen.  At nineteen he came to the USA as a refugee and spoke no English.  He decided to immediately begin working, as soon as allowed, to learn English and to earn money not just to support himself but also to send back to his family in Iraq.  In the past ten years he's bought his own business, his own home, three homes in Iraq for three thousand dollars each, now worth seventy thousand dollars a piece - all three of them for his family.

He's an incredible, strong and very good young man.  Obviously he comes from a good, loving family and good, loving heritage.  I'd like to learn about them, what I can.

Because he's been through so much and is so far away, talking about his family and even getting out pictures of his family causes him great heart ache.  He's unable to even discuss his heritage.  His best friend came with him to the USA but went back to Iraq with the US military as an interpreter; he was killed in combat.

I'd like to learn about Iraq, here.  I'd like to learn about everything, but especially the history that will remind my son-in-law and teach my grand-daughter to be proud.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Wendyjo

Well, thanks for the welcome you all.

How are you doing and where do I submit questions to satisfy my intellectial curiosity?

Since my last post I've read that Muhammad taught Jesus, Moses, et al, were all Muslims and that the words of the Bible are corrupted.  Is that correct?  I'm not trying to be argumentative but am only attempting to seek the "truth."

Also, I read that Muhammad was dug up from where he died and reburied in a tomb.  AND?  An empty tomb next to him awaits Jesus - whom Muhammad taught you all didn't die on earth but was lifted up to GOD in the flesh.  Is that right?

Oh, and my baby grand daughter, her father and mother (my loving daughter) are doing better than well!

Did I tell you I'm from Idaho and NOT related to those Baptists that tried to kidnap and sale the Haiti orphans?
