I joined your forum because of the incredible variety of people who came on and made your life hell, it was awesome for you to manage all of it and with such fairness.  We are human beings and we all make mistakes, but if everyone walks away instead of face the problems then nothing will be resolved.

We had lots of fun, some of threads were absolutely funny and kept us laughing for a long time.  Some of the things that were said were hurtful, sad, made our blood boil, but we are Iraqis, and all these different feelings made us feel alive.  Thanks to you 3 for your hard work, and I wish Harry and Tigris come back.  This website is brilliant, and we need it, but most of all we need you and your valued friendship.

Well said Calm. Harry, I have to say it but I’m a bit pissed off. It’s the moderator’s responsibility to move discussions to different sections of the forum, close discussions, edit the content of individual postings, answer questions, help people with problems, and assist discussions so they remain active in their forum section even if no new postings are made. Without you guys (tigris included) the forum will simply dissolve and fade away. Harry, I've been posting here for over a year and some like Calm, iraqi100% and the Arabic contributors have been members for even longer. Do you think it’s fair to just up and leave when so many have invested their time to support iraq4u and especially you as a moderator? To be honest I was a little shocked by the flippant manner of your reply to me by PM. At least take the time to clarify your reasons and use the opportunity to carefully explain your decision to those who have contributed to the discussions over the years. I still don’t know why you posted the links and took such a negative stance in your last set of posts. Most unlike the man we have come to know and respect since joining the site. I hope you reconsider your decision and continue to moderate discussions but if you are adamant about leaving then at least take the time to clarify issues for us. I mean who is going to act as moderator after you leave? If you have a candidate then at least introduce him/her to us in order that we may feel that you care. Yella Harry, we are waiting for your reply. All the best. LOB

It would've been much appreciated if one of the three answered.

Calm,

I guess the guys are taking a little break. Please bring issues to my attention as I do not look at the individual discussions on a daily basis, however I will make myself available until I figure out what's going on.

Iraqis are masters at arguing, generalizing, gossiping, stereotyping and it doesn't stop there. Unfortunitly this ugly little gene of the Iraqi individual is being used against him. So what happens when one can't have a civil discussion and argue politly, that gene starts to tich them and they end up having a street fight over the internet.

so to calm things, let's give everyone a break and give the moderators a break. Mark of the Beast has crossed the line and now his contributions will need to be moderated, this is the person on the street that sees two guys fighting and starting to bleed and he's the one that goes and brings a bag of salt and adds tons to their injury.

please read the forum's bylaws :)
