Calm -> Whats on the news? (5/1/2008 2:27:14 PM)

I phoned my brother today, it was a terrible call, he said what you are hearing in the west isn't the whole truth.  The killing of innocent people just for fun, abductions have got worse and worse.  On 52 street by Al-Wathiq round about 2 traffic police were shot dead, and innocent man walk got killed two hours later.  Someone got abducted in front of the house, in front of my brother, and thats only this morning.  He worries now if he doesn't hear bombs going off somewhere, or the sound of fire arms.  He said he is safer outside the green zone.

I like to know from Iraqis inside Iraq of what is going on, please write and tell us.  If you have a relative, tell us what you heard, the news we get in our media aren't the true news of whats going on inside the country.

God help them.

Hi Calm. I spoke to my relatives in Baghdad yesterday and the news is that how good you have it depends totally on which area you live in. These days the closer one lives to Al Thawra the worse it gets. And overall the news is not good when it comes to services. Intermittent electricity, water cuts and super inflation still seem to dominate Baghdadis lives. The Irony is that the only place that has stable electricity is Al Thawra. Unfortunately I have no one left living in Basra and Kirkuk but I'll be meeting some friends who work for North Oil Company next week when they arrive to Amman on route to Tokyo. I'll get some info for you then.

Whats this about curry houses? There will be a citizens revolt if you're saying what I think you're saying. Where will everyone go after last orders?

Calm -> RE: Whats on the news? (5/7/2008 7:12:04 AM)

Thank god for that.  I can cook one hell of a good curry with all the trimmings.  From Tandori to Balti, passing on a delicious Korma, and not to forget a yummy Biryani.  How about a shammi kebab, or chicken and spinach bushwari.  Tell you what, no matter what, you can't beat Kuba of all sorts.  From mosul to Kuba hamith, with Anba on top, and a glass of shinina.  You started me now, I think I'll go and make curry tonight.

While you tuck into your chicken Korma here is some depressing news to put you off your lunch. Sorry bro but you did say you wanted to lose some weight. [image]http://www.aliraqi.org/forums/images/smilies/new/angry-smiley-032.gif[/image]

Baghdad, 6 May (AKI) - Al-Qaeda has used 6,000 suicide bombers in Iraq since the fall of Saddam Hussein, according to records discovered in a terrorist training camp in Diyala, northeast of Baghdad.

A spokesman for the local Sunni tribal militias, Sheikh Shaker al-Shamri, told the Iraqi newspaper al-Sabah, his men entered an al-Qaeda training camp for female suicide bombers near Baaquba.

In the camp they found correspondence belonging to a group of leaders from the terrorist organisation that calculated the suicide attacks conducted by the group since 2003.

The majority of the 6,000 suicide bombers used by al-Qaeda until now are Arab and Afghan citizens, not Iraqis. The documents confirmed claims made by Iraqi secret services.

According to the document many young people, in particular 15 women were recruited to carry out attacks in the Sunni province.

That is terrible.  Another report I read, was saying that they were using mentally disabled women to carry those attacks.

How low anyone can be?

Beside the fact that these women should be helped to live a better life instead of being euthanized, they are sent into crowded markets ,where people have to shop for food to feed their families, and make them blow themselves up, and kill as many innocent civilians as they can.
It is not a matter of just being low; it is a matter of being a blind servant for a low, demented leader.
