Looking at the american elections made me think, are we heading to new election in Iraq? Is why our beloved government suddenly decided no more melitia, especially Jahoosh Al-Mahdi?
And where is uncle Ayad Alawie, he's been very quiet?
In your opinion, has anyone stoodout in the last 5 years to look like the future leader of Iraq? The one and only one who will save the country.
Also, do we have to have a Kurd to be President of an Arab country? I am not raciest, but I thought logically you put an Iraqi in charge. No one in Kurdistan will accept an Arab to be their leader, they will kill him in second.

We are due for provicial elections sometime in Oct.

3amo Ayad withdrew his party from the government. However Adnan Pachachi and Allawi are working to put together a new secular political front, which they hope will bring together secular Sunnis and Shi'ites. This is what I heard last month.

Unfortunately my answer is no.

The position of president is just a decorative title. A bit like the Queen in the UK. This is why they gave this poisition to Talabani.
