Check this image out! The Iraqi Defence Minister with the French ambassador. It looks like they have already started using this new crap flag. The funny thing about this picture is if you notice in the background there is the origional flagwith the stars. Two flags!! really embaracing..
how can this iraqi ambassador be such a naive person no three stars on his flag, but behind him there is three stars in the flag i cannot that the iraqi leaders are great hypocrites and liers in everything.
i prefer the flag that represent mesopotamia with all its rivers and branches and its cities in syria and turkey and iran that is originaly for iraq that will be a great flag that represent all iraq culture and the original places, and of course without those crazy politicle borders.

Harry,
That looks like a nice flag, even though it looks a bit more like the Syrian flag than it ever did. But I like the concept behind it. Who complained that it was too ancient?.
There was sort of a contest held by a small group of Iraqi Artists, in Jordan, and since my cousin lives in Amman now, he told me about it and we entered together.
That is an awsome flag, Hammurabi's Seal and the Lion Of Babylon is exactly what we need on our flag - like you said, it represents our soul, heritage and achievements much better than any religious sectarianism ever will - infact religious sects represent the worst in us and the barbaric genocides by traitors doing it in the name of their sects.
Both your and LOB's ideas are great - maybe have like both of them - even better replace the three stars with three ancient or Historic Iraqi symbols from different times or different eras.
Our past history is the only bearer of stars in Iraq, until we can prove ourselves at the present (min e9eer brasna '5ear) by building a once again great and worthy Iraqi civilisation, and in the future by ensuring another BS revolution wont bring another Saddam Hussain.

Guys, just for fun, why don't we start a thread asking members to submit ideas and designs for a new flag?
That would be an excellent notion, and I am confident that we will agree on one. However, does anyone know how can we get the puppets in Iraq to adopt the one we pick?

Harry, forget those Iranian hick puppets for a moment. Lets pretend Iraq is now settled and we have reconciled our differences (how great to write these words even if they are fantasy). How do you think a fresh new flag should look?
The 2 stars represent our two main ethnic groups (Arabs & Kurds)
The black doesnt actualy represent anything but its always been in the Iraqi flag since the early days of the monarchy. Perhaps someone else could explain why?
If you have any better ideas please post them here.

The man is no better than those pulling horses with blinders. He can only look at one direction. Even his thinking is unidirectional. So I guess it is quite expected from him to write nothing than the few words that are in his limit vocabulary.

like i said go and the original land of mesopotamia (iraq) and you will many of its maps to find the better picture for the flag, just take on reading books of mesopotamia (iraq).
Given that you claim to be an American then what the hell has our flag got to do with you? You are not Mesopotamian so give us all a break and stop handing out your juvenile advice to us real Mesopotamians. If you insist on insulting our intelligence by sticking your nose where it doesn't belong then I would strongly suggest that you back to where you came from and post this sh*t on one of your own country's forums.

Yes, yes, we know already. What we don't need is for you, a none Mesopotamian, to constantly post this drivel about Mesopotamia as if you discovered it in your back garden.
Dude, have you been smoking again???

I've been away for two weeks, and came back to the crap from Sadiq. Yet again, the man or cart pulling creature is boring me to tears, and (it) seems to be getting on everyone's nerves. He can't even speak or spell in english. He is so false its unbelievable.
I love the idea of the lion in the middle, super idea, and as our new flag is only going to be used for a year, its worth writing to all iraqi politicians about our idea. That is if they can read or write, or still how about emailing Ayad Allawie, as being his biggest supporters. How about our gorgeous editor put our flag on the front page for people to see.
Welcome back Calm. Sadiq and others seem adamant on filling this forum with empty posts. What can you do? Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Good idea, why don't members submit contributions on this forum and then by years end we can send to the Iraqi Parliament for approval? I think I'll set up a new thread for just that. Thanks bro.
