I noticed there wasn't a bio-thread of any kind, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

My name is Dustin
I'm 23 years old.
I live in Utah, in the United State.
I'm studying Arabic at college...first semester, so I suck, but I try.
I'm in the Utah National Guard, as a combat engineer.
Since I'm only part time Army, I work at UPS loading trucks at night, and have class in the day.

That's about it for now.

Please, anyone else, tell me about yourselves.

Dustin.

Hi Dustin, Welcome, I live in the US as well, been participating on this site since March of this year.  Have learned a lot and made some friends.  50 yrs old, female, have grown children, arabian horses and a wonderful significant other, oh a dog (naturally).

Overall we stick to the topic, occasionally the men on here corrupt me and take me off topic.  We tend to get a tad silly at x's, with all the stressors in this life laughter is needed.

Take Care.

Born Iraq, hometown Baghdad, currently living in Amman, Jordan. Argumentative, stubborn but fair (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). Left Baghdad before being called up for national service. Studied in the UK, lived in Baghdad, London, Dubai, and 8 months in Barcelona Spain (great city, if you get the chance to pay it a visit don’t waste it) and now a resident in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
30 something, no wife but there is a significant other. Like to travel, play sports and get drunk. Smoke too much and eat anything and everything. Worked as a barman throughout my Uni years, and then took a year out to see Europe. Now working as a consultant. OK, that’s enough of that; this is starting to sound like a personals ad.

I would like to see Spain LoB, my ancestors are from Andalusia.

I have a quick question for you LoB...

When I read the news they seem to portray Iraq as the entire population being either Sunni, or Shiit. How many people are there that are real orthodox Muslim. For instance, here in the US you might have a lot of poeple say their Catholic for instance, but only maybe 10% go to Mass each week. And are you Sunni, Shiit or neither.

Thanks.

Sorry Dustin, missed your post and didn't spot it till just now. In my part of the world there is no such thing as an Orthodox Muslim. You are either Shia or Sunna. I was born to a secular Shia family but I am not religious and can't for the life of me understand why we have such stupid divisions. As far as I'm concerned a Muslim is a Muslim, period.

I couldn't agree more. I wonder the same thing when Christian argue with each other about what verse in the Bible means what thing to who.

Live, and let live.

Charity is my religion. Love of God, and all His children. There is nothing else in this world that means anything to God, because everything else is His by His creation of it.
