Allawi is the man. He is a unifying figure. He has allies among all of the different religious and ethnic groups in Iraq, which, by the way, need to be more united. He is secular, which what Iraq definitely needs. The Iranian mullahs fear him. He is well-liked internationally. He is what Iraq needs. I think he can easily represent all Iraqis.

Helloo Lion,

Thanks for posting this question!

Most of the candidates are sect-biased, whoever will come, will definitely disgruntle the other group, because the majority of our people vote based on mouth-word of a clerk or leader. Very few Iraqi politicians have political maturity, and they're not given the chance to speak up yet.

I believe Allawi is good to start with as long as he knows when and where to point the gun.

Thanks again.

this a poem about iraq and the fake crazy stupid war :

Iraq and the War

Eli Mansour
Australia

The war continues ….
People struggle to survive.
No birds, only bullets that fly…
Unjust treatment everywhere.
We may not think about it …
But it is definitely there.

People are being brutalised and tortured.
Being killed like lambs at the slaughter house.
BOOM!!  BOOM!!
Bombs killing people, blood shed everywhere.
People put to gun point, humanity in despair…

War going on for years ….
Yet this isn’t the end of tears.
It’s only the beginning of our fear.
Don’t worry. God is always here.

Don’t always believe what the media says.
Look with your own eyes and see all the lies…

In Iraq there is only sadness.
Now, we can stop the madness.
In Iraq what’s done is done,
America can’t just leave and run.

It’s time for you “Bush” to repent.
Look at all the money sent,
What if it was differently spent?? .....
Imagine no war, no crime, no tears, no fright…
Faces, places, and skies so bright.
Eli Mansour is 13-years-old and lives in Sydney, Australia.

Allawi will never ever start any good because they are all the same bad leaders and liars, as long as he knows when and where to point the gun to the iraqi people and take what he wants and steal what he wants like the other iraqi leaders are doing those selfish killers.

I should like to inform the right Honorable Minister of Kawliya affairs I have now disbanded the Asriya Militias and have set up a new protection group (my protection) called Jaish al Zahlawi. The other fools were taking advantage of my good will and looting my private stash of Asriya Arak. Lets hope my new Jaish don't do the same with what remains of my Zahlawi from the Ministerial cellar.

Thanks OUI. Yet another member to nominate Allawi which makes him by far the most popular choice on this forum.

Dude, you are such a bore! I've told you on so many occasions the point of this is for members to suggest alternatives to Maliki yet you continue to flood the thread with meaningless nonsense. Grow up and be constructive or post this repetative drivel on a kindergarten site.

Yet another vote for the main man. Thanks for your contribution. I agree that the great majority of Iraqi politicians lack the necessary experience or maturity and are being prevented from gaining this by sectarian and religious morons controlling the Iraqi political arena.

It seems to me that majority of Iraqis believe that Ayad will do the job that is expected of him, apart of one dog who keeps barking at the wrong tree, and yet he isn't Iraqi, so why is he interfering with our affairs, what's in it for him.

Sadiq, please give it a rest, we welcome you here, but stop telling us what to do.  So put up or shut up, and you can answer us if we need your opinion, and I doubt if we ever will.

Can anyone imagine the picture of this guy standing next to the leaders of Europe and the world? As long as these twits are allowed to enter the Iraqi political picture we are screwed!

Please don't put them next to each other, I am trying to have my supper.  They will never stop barking.  Have mercy on us.  Keep bushie where he belongs, and we'll try and keep our slap face somewhere, I don't care.

Yet again the tried to kill the main man only to fail miserably. Read below:

Bombing near Iraq ex-PM's office

A suicide car bomber has attacked premises belonging to former Iraqi prime minister Ayad Allawi.

Two guards were killed in the attack in an area of western Baghdad where a senior Sunni politician, Saleh al-Mutlaq, also has offices.
Mr Allawi - a Shia who was prime minister between June 2004 and April 2005 - was not in at the time. Violence in the Iraqi capital has dropped significantly following a US troop surge earlier in the year. However, there has been a series of bomb attacks in the past week. The area where the latest attack took place is popular with politicians and officials because it is close to the Green Zone, where the government has many offices. Mr Mutlaq - who was in Jordan at the time of the attack - told the AP news agency that he had converted a house into offices after his previous offices were attacked. He said the attack was another demonstration that it was time to re-build the Iraqi police and army.
