Just as long as her name isn't Hillary, right! [:D]

YellowSunshine -> RE: Who is Iraq's best candidate for PM? (11/15/2007 4:11:23 PM)

Hill Billy's Billary and "Bildo"... [:-] oprah would make a better president that billary by far even tho she has zero exp in that area, at least she appears to care about others.

oh you dude's would only pay $500 for a blackmarket passport for me, is that all i am worth, you dirty dogs.  here i thought you were my friends.  guess i am not getting new melons either, by the sound of the above.  cheapskates anyway [:D]

Never thinking any less of you YS. The $500 will not only buy you an Iraqi passport, but it will also get you an Iraqi citizenship certificate, and two IDs, one sunny, and one Shi’a (Just in case). [:D]So put your mind at ease sweets.[8|]

Calm -> RE: Who is Iraq's best candidate for PM? (11/15/2007 4:33:52 PM)

My dear yellow

Due to our financial difficulties I suggest to sell your hubby so you can get your melons, if he isn't sellable try putting a tag on him with an offer
(Buy one get one free).  If that wouldn't work out, I can't think of any other way to get you new melons.  Maybe we'll find you some on the black market on the road to Baghdad.

Long live the new government, its from the people and the people.

YellowSunshine -> RE: Who is Iraq's best candidate for PM? (11/16/2007 9:42:34 AM)

"Ministry of Woman Affairs & Rights: Yellowsunshine (but need to give her Iraqi citizenship). Not a problem given Iraq is the 60th state now."

In light of my recent nomination by the overwhelming majority.  I have decided to accept full duties and responsibilities as Minster of Woman's Affairs and Rights.  I shall assume this position as soon as possible, rest assured my fellow comrads.

After careful consideration and much deliberation I have came to the following conclusion regarding the melon(s) issue that has been put on the forefront burner:

As Minister of Woman's Affairs and Rights I shall be traveling frequently and
often on airlines, I assume that at this stage I shall not have a private jet
at my disposal.  I shall also assume that frequently, since I will be conducting
many interviews throughout the world, often perhaps in precarious positions
I will have to pass through security like regular citizens.  This being said,
security at major airlines is becoming quite tho-rough, with suspicious
fluids not being allowed.  Once my melon(s) were cleared for take off they
would have to travel with the Excess Baggage and since I could NOT be
seperated from my new melon(s) you can certainly understand how this
would be totally impossible.  So therefore, conclusion drawn, NO NEW MELON
  (S) FOR SELF AT PRESENT.  After I have proven myself I am sure I will be
presented with a personal jet at my disposal at that point the new Melon(s)
  would be obtained.

Thanking you in advance for your understanding in this pressing matter.

Sincerely,

YellowSunshine
Upcoming Minister of Woman's Affairs and Rights

May it be noted that a secretary is necessary immediately should I contine this correspondence.  Of course for spelling errors.  I should like Sadiq2006 to be established as my personal secretary and this position expedited as quickly as humanly possible.[8|]

Woman, man, Arab, Jew, Kurd, Turkoman, Armeni, Muslim, Christian, Shia, Sunni, catholic protestant, whatever. I would stand by any Iraqi that can prove his/her love for our country and start to show real signs of uniting our people by giving them what they need, real progress and results.

By the way, welcome to the forum!

PM Harry,

Your excellency, may I make a request to enhance the defence ministry budget for 2008 so that I can hire a new one of those personal secretaries you were referring to?.

You know how stressful the workload can be at the ministry.

[:D]

YellowSunshine -> RE: Who is Iraq's best candidate for PM? (11/24/2007 3:14:22 PM)

Mr. Tigris, my dear man, I regretfully inform you that in your position you shall be no more than another puppet put into place, therefore you shall not be in need of a secretary.  At least that is the current rumor around the water cooler.  Not that I am involved in any of these discussions, I just happened to hear others talking.  Rest assured this will go no father than between us, my lips are sealed.  There is the small issue of the current budget as well.  We both know my position will warrant far more assistance than yours.  This is indeed fact as we both should be made aware of.

I shall also require Harry's assistance in hiring Chip-n-Dale (Or Chip AND Dale) as a website will be in order for prospective candidates.  I have not seen Sadiq yet and am very curious.  I will have applications posted on this website and of course, The Personal Interview.  Appropriate clothing for the gentlemen to wear while I conduct my interviews is of utmost importance.

My concern for the limited budget/their personal budget as well, will affect the proper attire for these gentlemen, the less the better.  Less Clothing = less in cost.

Tigris, please be advised, that the above information is only between friends and I shall trust that your lips are sealed as well.  I could be wrong, however, I know what my own 2 ears did indeed hear even though there was that issue of background noise.

Well, if you hire a personal secritary from HOOTERS[sm=smiley15.gif], or P.B. "contact Hefner for the second" you are sure in no need for increase in your budget. As YS said, less clothing=less cost. I know from experiance[:)].

Joking aside, we still haven't learned much about who the possible candidates are for PM. Further proof that despite all the negative comments about Allawi, most who criticise can't offer alternative solutions.
AYAD ALLAWI FOR PM!!

YellowSunshine -> RE: Who is Iraq's best candidate for PM? (11/28/2007 6:52:48 AM)

LOB, true story, no nominees other than yours?  let's get serious, since i am not that involved with prospects, or don't have that much knowledge i have nothing to offer.

YS, my comments were not directed at you. As has already been established by the many posts on this and other threads on iraq4you, we Iraqis are struggling to identify who can take over from this failed government and its puppet PM, Nouri Al Maliki. What I am seeking is suggestions from all Iraqis who might like to offer a candidate and the reason behind their choice. Since starting this thread only 2 alternative options have been put forward. They are Saleh al-Mutlaq and Tariq al-Hashimi. One of the main thread spoilers who has nothing to contribute to this subject has been your pet project Sadiq who only posts negative and none constructive comments without actually offering an opinion of his own. Having said that he isn’t the only one. My intention was to build a list based on member’s suggestions in order for us all to better understand who can perhaps take the PM position after Maliki is finally deposed or removed. So far members have suggested Al Hashimi and Al Mutlaq and both these guys are secular (as is Alawi). Here are very short biographies on the 2 candidates. No need to offer anything on Alawi because he is well known amongst us having already served as interim PM albeit for only six months:

Saleh Muhamed al-Mutlaq is an Iraqi politician who leads the Iraqi National Dialogue Front, the fifth largest political list in Iraqi National Assembly following the December 2005 general election.

He is a Sunni Arab secular politician who called for the removal of foreign troops from Iraq. He was the chief Sunni Arab negotiator over the constitution, but led the Sunni Arab campaign against its ratification when he failed to prevent the inclusion of Shi'ite autonomous Regions.

"There is no need for a referendum — this constitution is for the (Shiite) coalition and the Kurds only," - Saleh al-Mutlaq

"We need a liberal government, we need a secular government. Without such a government the violence will continue" - Saleh al-Mutlaq

Tariq al-Hashimi is an Iraqi politician and the general secretary of the Iraqi Islamic Party. Along with Adil Abdul Mahdi, he is a Vice President of Iraq in the government formed after the December 2005 elections. As a Sunni, he took the place of fellow Sunni politician Ghazi al-Yawar. Three of his siblings (two brothers and one sister) were killed by Shiite death squads in 2006.

In December 2006, the Iraq Study Group Report described him in this way:

"Hashimi is one of two vice presidents of Iraq and the head of the Iraqi Islamic Party, the largest Sunni Muslim bloc in parliament. Hashimi opposes the formation of autonomous regions and has advocated the distribution of oil revenues based on population, a reversal of de-:Baathification, and the removal of Shiite militia fighters from the Iraqi security forces. Shiite death squads have recently killed three of his siblings."

The report called Hashimi one of the two Sunni leaders with broad support.

You can find out more about Al Hashimi from his website: http://alhashimi.org/

YellowSunshine, I appreciate your honesty. I wouldn't have joined this new government as Defence Minister and Minister of Kawleeya Affairs (which I appointed myself as this was vacant) if I hadn't known that it was not a puppet position. If it were a real non-puppet position, then it would be too much hard work for me. Too much thinking and stress involved, I cant stand it. :-)
Can I at least get a puppet secretary? [:)], like one with puppet or artificial mellons as I guess as a puppet myself I am not eligible for organic ones. [:D].

If you want my lips sealed, you gotta pay up fast!!!! I may be a puppet minister belonging to a puppet regfime, but I still own a few newspaper publications and have my own militia called the Tigris Brigades. [;)]

I should like to inform the right Honorable Minister of Kawliya affairs I have now disbanded the Asriya Militias and have set up a new protection group (my protection) called Jaish al Zahlawi. The other fools were taking advantage of my good will and looting my private stash of Asriya Arak. Lets hope my new Jaish don't do the same with what remains of my Zahlawi from the Ministerial cellar.

Your Excellency, the people will understand as they are assured that the budget is being allocated wisely and their tax money is in good hands [:D]. But I guess with no increase in the budget, I can always get a personal secretary from the Shorja market. [:)].
