It seems there is a whole section in this site just for Arabic discussion. This section is for English dicussion as a lot of us (including me) don't have the Arabic keyboard, so can't write in Arabic. Others here don't even understand the language, so we use the most universal language of our time now, which is English. This is no insult to Arabic nor the Arab people, as universal languages rise and fall with civilisations, I mean before it was Greek and Latin in the West.

This forum, us and the users are all over the world, so it is different from Iraq, where the main language is Arabic - or Iraqi dialect of Arabic (with many words phrases etc... from totally different languages mixed in). And besides, Iraq even itself is a great rich mixture of people of all sorts of ethnicities, religions and language. Iraq never was and never will be a 100% Arab and Muslim country, as all the minorities, their culture and religions are as much part of Iraq as the rest of us.

I really can't see what is the big problem that is causing all this anger and hate. This English section is designed for us to share our views with as much people from around the world as possible, including non-Arabs and non-Iraqis, so lets all just type in English and make our voices heard. [:)]

True my friend, maybe I shouldn't have jumped straight into the arguement, but I was just saying that there is no reason for our friend Akrawi to be so angered and argue about language. He is more than welcome to write in Arabic, but as I understand it, this section is for English so everyone, even our friends who are not Iraqi and don't speak Arabic, can understand.
It is also better for Akrawi, because more people can understand his opinions of a true Iraqi brother. [:)][:)]

There is nothing we can learn from Akrawi1, all he does is copy and paste news clips from online news media. Just like you, He never offers any opinions, points of view, or even arguments. What can anyone learn from a person who has nothing to offer?

I agree my friend, that is a very good idea. But Akrawi should not get too worked up and angry that we are writing in English in an English forum, and racism and hate is something a lot of us would rather not learn.

I am happy for him to write in Arabic if he truely can't write in English, but preferably in the Arabic forum. Infact, I am happy if he writes in Arabic here [:)], and I'll try translating what he says, but it's going too far if he starts saying we all must write in Arabic in this English forum, where a lot of Non-Iraqi, Non-Arab brothers also come to discuss Iraq-related issues. [:)]

ربما نحن نلتقي بعدد من النقاط ولكن اريد اجيبك حسب التسلسل
اولا بالنسبة للغة العربية في البيت لا تصدق اذا قلت لك ان ابي يشكرني يوميا لاني علمته الحروف العربية وبدا يقرا القران ولا تنسى ان اللغة الكردية مهما نطبل او نزمر فهي قريبة من اللهجات المحلية وهناك فرق بين البهدناني والسوراني ولهجة اكراد منطقة سنجار وخانقين وهذه اللهجات لا ترقى الى الغة العربية ومع ذلك لولا نزول القران بها لما قرائناها
ثانيا بالنسبة لامريكا لا تحب العراق ولا هي خائفة على شعبه ولا تريد لنا الديمقراطية ولكنها جاءت لحماية اسرائيل والسيطرة على النفط كما في دول الخليج والغرب الاوربي له نفس الافكار ولا تعتقد يوما ان العراقيين الذين قراءوا تراثهم العظيم ومباديء دينهم الحنيف وتتلمذوا على عقلية العروبة والاستعمار الغربي سيقبلون كما تقبل دول الخليج بوحود امريكا وتدخلها بالشاْن العراقي ولهذا انهم ينتظرون نهاية 2008 او 2009 على الاكثر لطرد الارهاب الذي تسببت في مجيئه امريكا ومساعدة الحكومة المؤقته لاعادة الكيان العراقي والانتهاء من الزمر الصدامية لنتحول جميعا الى قنابل كعراقيين لدفن الامريكان في التراب وسيتحول العراق كله الى قنبله تهز امريكا وحلفائها الاوربيين لهذا يجب ان تعلم ان الشعب العراقي بعربه واكراده وتركمانه لا يقبل الضيم وسيهز العالم الف مرة كما هزته فيتنام ان ما يقارب من 20 مليون حاضرين ولهم العزيمة لتفجير انفسهم بوجه الامريكان اذا لم يخرجوا وهم من جميع القوميات ويجب ان يفيق العراقيين في الخارج ولا تدفعهم عيشة الرغد والتقدم الذي تتكلم عنه وتبجحهم بالحرفين باللعة الانكليزية لذلك يجب ان تتهيئوا من اليوم للتشبع بروح الوطنية واسترجاع الكرامة المفقودة التي كان سبب فقدانها هي الهجمة الامريكية الاسرائيلية والايرانية فنحن سناْكل البلوط والخبز ونطحن الربيع اليابس ونخبزه للحصول على كرامة الشعب العراقي والسلام

I refuse to argue with a person who keeps trying to change the issue from a politics into a religious one. His arrogance is apparent in all his writings (as little as they are). Hi Harry. Don't you think its peculiar that someone who professes to be such a proud egotistical Iraqi Kurd is perfectly happy to converse with a racist who regularly calls his people dumb, naive, fake mountain people? He is very good at handing out insults and juvenile innuendos with the condescending airs of a right wing religious bigot. He simply fails to appreciate that there might just be an alternative perspective to his own narrow take on how the world works. I'm not surprised, sadly. He has always been desperate to show us that he desires freedom and democracy for Iraq yet his posts betray him and only serve to illustrate that he is an empty chasm of suppressed hate for people who have a wider viewpoint or different beliefs to his own, possibly because they wouldn't let him hang out with them in high school. [:D] Resorting to personal insults may make him feel better, but it also shows his lack of ability to string together a coherent argument, and an inability to debate reasonably and rationally. I only reply to his posts in the hope that this Iraqi Kurd might come to his senses and realize that not everyone lives in his sheltered bubble.

It is obvious that he and Sadiq are one of a kind, (I am sure you know what I mean). Within one personality he claims he is an American, living in the gulf region, and trying to learn Arabic to better understand Arabs. On the other hand with his other personality he claims to be a hard-line religious Muslim, who hates all other religions and all believers of those other religions.
 
Without him realizing, I pulled him into an open discussion (the one thing he refused to do earlier) and made him show his true color, I even made him contradict himself when he insisted that Arabic is the holiest, and best of languages spoken on the face of the earth, and he wouldn't speak any other. That is when he came out of the closet and admitted that he is a Kurd, and if it weren’t for the holy Qur’an, he wouldn’t learn Arabic.
 Individuals suffering from schizophrenia like him are not worth wasting time with. Therefore I stopped replying to his nonsense, the other reason was a more observable one, he kept trying to force me into getting in a religious discussion with him; and when he failed, he started rewriting his post hoping that I will fall for it. Well, NOT IN HIS LIFE.
 
ps. My post should have said, “I wish you hadn’t replied”. It appears that the automatic spelling and grammar correction feature replaced the word without me noticing it. But I am sure you figured that out.

Did your mother drop you on your head as a child? I’m not sure whether to laugh at you or pity you. Your lack of comprehension skills, discernment, coherent and logical thought patterns would be upsetting in a low-order primate, but coming from an evolved sub-species of Idiotus Kurdus who has just arrived at the point of finding the 'on' switch of a computer is frankly sad. I suggest that you and that other moron Sadiq place your heads in a pickup's open door and slam it repeatedly on your thick mass until some dim sense begins to flicker. and also lion of babylon and harry are not and never will be agents of america, they love their country iraq very much and they do not want to see their iraqi people to be killed, and you youself akwawi1 is iraqi meaning that the 3 of you are iraqis with diffirent backgrounds and you respect each other wether you speak arabic or english, it does not matter believe me.

lion of babylon and harry like i said before they are not against arabic to speak it or not, but akrawi1 most of the people in iraq4u forum they chat in english and it is easy for them, not because they do not understand arabic or cannot chat in arabic or type, only because english more easy in this forum.

i myself i respect arabic very much because it is the language of the holy book of quran (the words of mighty god allah).

Harry, I’m not sure if Sadiq and Akrawi are one and the same but I was very suspicious about Akrawi and other so called members. Your highlighting of Akrawi’s spelling mistake caught my eye and got me thinking. The word truth is spelt as it is said. T-R-U-T-H. To spell it “trough” is very individual and distinctive. However it appears that Akrawi isn’t the only one who spells it in this way on iraq4u. Visit the below links.

The meanings of the word “TROUGH”:
 
It means, Channel, Trench, Gutter, Furrow, Ditch, Drain, Depression, and Low. However, it has no relation to the word truth in anyway.
 
Yet, if that is the way they want to spell it, then, that is the trough.
