what is the last news about mr SOLTAN HASHEM is he still alive? also his Camarades, because the governement still silance even if some news said that mr Sistani refuse to hanging him, please if any one has a news about the subject, let us know, thanks
Well, I must say that I am against the execution too. It is time to set an example of humanity. Plus, Sultan Al Tai was a soldier acting on orders and I dont believe he was aware of what was happenening on the ground and if he did then there was nothing he could of done to prevent it. This is offcourse if any major crimes did actually take place. If it was Chemical Ali, then i wouldnt care much, but Al Tai is a real soldier away from Saddam's inner Tikriti cirlcle. The Iraqi government should not only spare his life, but also make use of him in the failing Defence Ministry. This man has alot of experience (having fought in 3 wars) and has fought not only against huge national armies but also against rebels and insurgents. He knows every square km of Iraq. He is needed.

I totaly agree with you. This is one of the men the US should have brought on board as an advisor. Despite his past he could have given them vital info about how to best deal with the insurgents and terrorists who have made Iraq their personal playground. I always respected him and so do many other Iraqis.
