You lot making me blush here, believe that believe anything.  I meant to meet azinorum in london the same week I went to greece.  So Azi I am very sorry but I will make sure I will see you in Jordan or somewhere else in the world one day.
Just a thought, wouldn't it be lovely if we all meet somewhere one night, with our families too, and have one damn good night to remember for the rest of our lives.
And harry, those chapters i sent have been changed quite a bit since.  Cheers my friend.

Hi YS

yes u r the only dudatte on here from america, but there are many other ladies who come and go.

I spent most of the three weeks driving around crete, its a big island, and incredibly beautiful.  Lovely beaches, with lots of beautiful well tanned beauties, but I didn't look, I was busy reading.  The local Taverna which is run by my friend antonio and his brother, while mum did all the cooking, used to phone me to say we are charging 20% extra today, that mean the are lots of beautiful ladies on the beach.  He served the best sea bream in the world, marinated with olive oil, lemon juice, and local herbs, and barbecued.  All for 7 euros or £5.
The greeks are very polite and friendly nation, and their history is incredible, especially when they were under the german or the turkish occupation.  They are very traditional people.  I just love them.

I just opened a bottle of Arak Haddad and will drink my first "peik" in your honour. I would suggest you do the same tigris and lets all pretend we are in Baghdad together on Abu Nawass, sampling the mezza, mezgoof and enjoying the buzz and energy that only happens in our hometown on one of those balmy evenings. Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy daydreaming once in a while, don't you agree? Cheers!

I drink to that! Cheers to all of you and to your loved ones and to our motherland and its good people, which will hopfully one day rise from the current ruins and mess!!

The Jordanian Parliamentary elections are coming up so all the streets are full of posters and slogans of the candidates. I was in a cab today and the driver was going through the usual routine of complaining about rising prices and lack of income. I asked him who he was going to vote for in the elections. He said "I'm not voting because I don't know any of the candidates, they mean nothing to me and I nothing to them". Now doesn't that sound familiar?!

LOB, surely u did not miss ms. big mouth?

my son does the "cage fighting/ultimate fighting" thingie and had his first big time fight, of course he won, 2 minutes and his opponent tapped out.  very expensive evening for myself and significant other, i don't really enjoy watching these fights but my son has been into it for sometime and is awesome, last big fight there were 6 or 7 pros., he was invited as the only amature and of course (again) won!  tough dude, like mammmaa.

then we had thanksgiving, all my family flew and drove in, well over 40 at my sisters for dinner.  being the oldest of 10 there are a lot of us.

so am finally back to normal for now until the christmas rush begins shortly.

i see you dudes have been doing well in holding the fort down!

calm,
finished the first 4, could use more, unless it gets real descriptive into the exploits of the 2  present main characters, perhaps you'd better give my version a "G" rating, or no higher than an "R".
hugs

Thats a pretty violent sport but I watch it whenever I can. I used to be a boxing nut but it's tame compared to UFC. This is real gladiator stuff. Can't be easy watching your son get into the Octagon. Anyway, gongrats on the victory!

Happy thanksgiving. I have a question. Do you guys exchange gifts like at christmas? or is it just a dinner with family?

thanksgiving is just a dinner, however a HUGE one, BIG MOMMA was one sick puppy for awhile, just had a tad of all, but it added up, 2 MUCH FOOD!

Tradition is Turkey with stuffing, mashed potatos/gravy, candied yams, green been casserole, cranberry sauce, rolls, pecan pie/pumpkin pie.  Each family has their own added items that they tend to serve yearly.

We usually have a broccoli/califlower, cheese sauce, baked beans in addition to tradition.  This year we had 2 types stuffing, one with cornbread and fresh oysters (this was so good I cooked another turkey at home and made it, now I am sick of turkey) a ham was shipped from a friend in Texas to add to the mix. I have no idea how many variety's of pies there were as I was sick.  Oh, we had many diff. wines as well.  I think I sampled All of them, which did not help.

+++      Last night I cooked leftover turkey in Hot Sauce, Lime Juice, Olive Oil, garlic, paprika a tad bit of vinegar, cracked black pepper, sea salt.  Served with celery and a homeade blue cheese dressing for dip, this was really good, but NO Turkey today.    Years back I used to use the leftover turkey to make a Pakistani dish, Kaligosht, which was pretty good, varried from the roast turkey which gets pretty booring.

the first time i watched the "cage" fighting was my son's fight with all the pro's.  it was NOT pretty, this was not a sactioned fight, but there is a huge place that is rather popular they had invited him.  opprox. 500 people there, one man told me they had just built a new octagon and had my son's name etched on the bottom as the first x was officially being used was that night, said my son had made him a lot of money, kind of like "dog fights", SIGH>  anyway, drank a tad bit too much beer that night, ended up in the octagon immediately following his victory, had my pomeranian dog (we both had matching t-shirts on with support for my son printed), how i got in there i have no idea, the final opponut was still passed out on the floor, bloody, was NOT pretty, thank God for beer that night.  i was promptly escorted out, so the kid could get his belt.  big mouth had to announce that it was her son and he got his toughness from his mom.  Sigh...had to promise my son that I would NOT behave this way again.

kid says he won't ever do the unsanctioned fights again as there are many injuries, no insurance and all those fights in one night were too much.   this x just one fight.

ok LOB, your fault you got me going and my boyfriend is hungry, cold/working outside here and i am getting dirty looks.

Just returned from Dubai yesterday after a 3 day trip to watch the Rugby sevens. I'd seriously consider moving back there if only the country would develop some soul and identity. I swear it's the craziest place in the world. There are times when you feel this place has absolutely nothing to do with the Arab world and you can go for days without actually meeting a local. Nevertheless I do feel jealous of their modernization and fantastic facilities. If only Iraq could take a leaf out of their book by putting religion and politics to one side and concentrate on building itself up economically. We have far better natural resources and potential to overtake them as the next Arab jewel. If only!!

Dubai, yes it is a treat, was there couple years back.  Strange place, I was there during some huge shopping event, although I am not big on shopping, gives me a headache.  We went to the mall there, it was insane, I have never seen so many taxi's in my life, took forever to get one to get back to our hotel.

My major regret was that I did not get to tour the Arabian Horse Farms.  The lovely man I was with was not interested, he was more into shopping, laying in the sun at the hotel.  DARN!  They have a gorgeous airport there and the huge Arabian Horse Mural is the current wallpaper on my computer.  I LOVED driving down the freeway/roadway with all the horsey billboards.  LOVE my arabian horses, the best!

BeoBabylonian, welcome to this "foryum", a serious bunch and frequently silly!

Can you please decipher your statement above, I am out to lunch on that one.

Take Care.

Still don't quite get the whole thingie, oh well.  I do get "Great Minds Think Alike".  I hope someone somewhere is saying perhaps that Ms. Big Mouth Momma has a great mind?    LOB, this foryum appears to have quieted down.  We get a couple newbies then they post a short x and on to the next.  Oh well, they obviously aren't aware of all the talent we have here!
