Admin -> locked few threads (10/23/2007 11:09:58 PM)

guys,

I have locked frew threads that had more than 150 replies. It seems these are never ending threads, please spread the topics and create smaller threads so the forum performance is not degraded.

thank you,
admin

Thanks to Admin for finally resolving this issue of Arabic v. English posts. At the same time I have to say its a shame that our Arabic contributors chose to take such an anti English stance given that we are all from the same country and should be able to converse in both languages. I would ask them to wake up and realize (and it baffles me that they haven't already) that we have enough division without adding to them by trying to spoil threads and not make use of this excellent opportunity to converse with brethren despite our differing backgrounds and personal histories. In the end we are all Iraqis and thats what matters.

As a sub note: Can I ask Admin why he/she thinks it necessary to lock popular threads? As long as they are constructive and useful what does it matter that they contain over 150 posts? Some things are worth keeping despite their longevity.

lion of babylon

i solute you and agree with you 100%, yes you iraqis but without those crazy politicle borders because original iraq is without those politicle damn borders they just made it to divided, because iraqis are (aramians and amorians and babylonians and chaldeans and sumerians and akkadians and ofcourse the most important thing the assyrians), this the original iraq without those crazy damn politicle borders.

you are very well educated lion of babylon.[:D][:D][:D]

A question for Admin. Having browsed the site I found a thread with a headline “Website owner receives a threat” - http://www.iraq4u.com/forum/m_1537/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1537
What happened to the A-hole who posted the threat? Did you ever discover where he originated from?
Heres the "tough guy's" text for those who are interested:
