New York (KurdishMedia.com) 23 November 2004: On the 20th of November, the Iraqi National Congress (INC) reported that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) led raids on four INC facilities.
According to the INC, three INC offices in Baghdad and one office in Najaf were raided by "heavily armed US civilians accompanied by masked Iraqis", and the offices were damaged and, in spite of requests, no search warrants were presented.
The INC has stated that it will take action within the bounds of the Iraqi legal system to "force the CIA and its Iraqi agents to act within the law."
In May of this year, U.S. soldiers and Iraqi police raided the residence of the INC leader Dr. Ahmad Chalabi in the Mansour district of Baghdad.
