Allies are ok when both sides are of equal infleunce and regional power not in the case with iraq and iran where you have the government of iraq that have been trained, funded for years by iran and now the iraqi government is paying back the favor. the case with iran is not that iran looks at iraq or the iraqis as equal partnert but they look at us with superior attitude and hate towards the arabs and want to use us for their agenda in persuing greater regional infleunce on iraq, the kurds and all of the gulf region including saudi arabia i heard few days ago that maliki was on the streets in iraq handing out money and i laughed and remembered saddam when he used to walk into residential areas and have lunch with the people and check their fridge well maliki seem to have learned but he's a little slow at this game and he's really trying hard to play the nationalist game after years of secterian attitude towards his people and government. It's either he realized what works in iraq or he's trying to make himself popular among the people so he gets them ready for the next 30 or so years of maliki style dictatorship only in iraq where the proce of oil is cheaper than blood
