Looking at what is going on politically in Iraq, I feel sorry to see our prime minister isolated more and more each day. (No I don't)
It is time to wave the white flag, no shame of admiting that the job was much bigger than he could manage, and beyond his caoabilities and expeience, no shame in that at all, in fact he will gain much respect. No shame of admiting that he was influenced many times against his better judgement in making decisions, rulings, and action againist the wishes of millions and in favour of a bunch of thugs and turbins.
Its time for everone to stand and shout for Allawie to take over.

Yup, I fully agree. If anyone can have at least a small or reasonable chance of making a change it would be Ayad Allawi, despite his role in the build up to the war. This is what Iraq needs now, a strong and true nationalist Iraqi committed to the national cause and not sectarian or religious ones.

Do you guys really believe that those turban-heads will give up their control over the Iraqi government by getting someone who is capable of defeating them in power? I guess not, after all the turban-heads are the ones running the show behind the curtains. They could not believe that finally they got Iraq and its people in their grasp; you think they’ll let all that go?

I know that those Iranian-worshipping turban heads and the other sectarian and religious fanatics in power won't give up the power that they have dreamed of for centuries that easily but if the US (who I think favour Allawi more) can pressure the turban heads to call it quits and call for early elections and get the CIA to intervene to forge the ballots and results similar to the way the turban heads and Kurds did, then there is a chance although I think that Allawi has a better chance even without forging as alot of those who voted for the turban heads of list 555 have started to regret it. 
Iran will not last long. I am expecting a regime change there at some point, maybe in the next 10-15 years. There is a growing number of rebellious Iranian youths inside the country who are sick & tired of the Islamic rule and the bad economy and living under sanctions. This is part of the US foreign policy there. If Iran falls, so will the back-bone of those turban heads ruling Iraq. They will have no where to hide.
If Ayad Allawi comes back to power, he will need to re-build the security forces real fast though!.

please do not trusr allawi that guy there got to be in desent iraqi in iraq itself who loves iraq so much, not from him please you will lose iraq more isn't that that iraq was divided before 80 years ago in the time sikis biko agreement and from those discusting history of the turks who ruled iraq for 400 years ago and you want that guy to rule iraq, they want to repeat the same mistake again like in the past to divide iraq and get what they want.

and do not forget that the ottomans empire they the ones who screwed up iraq and made to divide into 4 parts and they want to repeat the history again like i said before, so beware of this that it will happen again.

What has allawi ever done to you? And if he has, does it hurt?

If your question was "Who should be our next leader" then I would have to agree and say Ayad Alawi. But in answer to your questioin "who is our next saviour" my answer would be the Iraqi people. If we dont take our head out of the sand and realise the stupidity of killing one another for political gain (or lack of it) then even if we have the perfect leader he would have no chance to succeed. WAKE UP IRAQ BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!

Possibly. In fact Allawis strong ties with Barzani and his weak stance against the federalism worries me. But Iraq is already divided and in a mess so I dont think Allawi in power would make things any worse than Maliki and Jaaferi. Allawi had a good security plan when he was in power and his links with the former army generals and intelligence chiefs is important at a time like this. Also, he has a strong character.

Sadiq, what would you exactly advise the Iraqi people to do when they do wake up?  By the way, we ALL need to wake up in this world.  Many will continue sleeping, however, that is their choice.  Would be far easier to be one  of them, would it not? 

AGAIN, I wish I could contribute more, but do what I can here. 

Makes me feel ill, this fu$$$# up mess of a bloody world where so many REALLY do not give a hoot about anyone but themselves.

The Iraqi people certainly are the saviour but will they ever wake up? can they every wake up? given that the current government is playing with their heads.

Yesterday for example was the 8th of August, the anniversary of the end of war with Iran. Previously it was a national holiday in Iraq although it was not really a victorious day but it was a day that brought a bit of peace after a long 8-year war. No one there seemed to have remembered it except for Maliki who spend that day in Tehran. The Iraqi people have been through so much that their heads have been washed by the current government and situation and it is  big question on whether they can wake up and stand up against this.

I don't think they will ever wake up, i don't think they want to.  With no jobs, no income, getting money for your family for blowing yourself is like going to work in the morning and coming to the open arms of the wife at night.  And, Mr turbin has given all the assurances that the door to heaven is five steps away.  And 27 virgins are waiting with open arms...god has never been busier creating virgins for all those dick heads.
The so called Government must create and establish the rebuilding of the economy, and get people back to work. 
How about getting a bunch of snipers and let them practice on turbins of all colours, that will solve all problems.

the devil (satan) will continue working until the day of judgement, the people of iraq (mesopotamia) should learn the mistake from the british and the french invasion of iraq from the world war 1 and world war 2 in the past, because if you read the past from the king faisal the first when the king of iraq (ofcourse by the help of the british and the french invasion) they will do it the samething.
 
can you imagine that imam sistani told the iraqis not to fight the american soldiers because it will a civil war this guy is really nuts.

that is why the iraqis are not fighting the americans he want them to suffer, is he working with the americans.[&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

Sistani is right, enough blood is wasted already from all sides.  I really don't think you use your brain in the right way like everyone here.
Do you think that if peace come to iraq, the ameican will stay an extra day in the country?  I doubt it very much. 
Presidential elections are the most important events in America, and public opinion wants their soldiers out of Iraq.  Lets have peace and see.  And the same goes for the british, they cannot afford the army bill forever.
So sistani has a vision you don't. 
Like I said many times to you education education education.

I seem to remember reading something could be wrong as was somex back, shortly after 911.

That George Bush senior was meeting with some relative of OBL's for breakfast somewhere in New York that same morning. 

Could have been internet garbage as THERE IS much on this lovely web we weave.  Maybe someone else has read this or recalls? 

Sounds too far fetched for truth so perhaps was just some youngsters idea of a joke.  Or could just have been a coincidence as these do happen from time to time.

the more the iraqis are fighting the americans the more blood she will continue in iraq if the imam sistani is telling the iraqis not to fight they will suffer more but if the iraqis fought against the americans iraq will never see any blood shed anymore because simply this what america wants so that is imam sistani wants so i think he is working with the americans and helping iran.

do not worry this iraqi (oops sorry i mean irani and american government who are rulling iraq) are not playing with iraqi heads, because the iraqi people are smart and they know their past very well but they are patient with their lives.
