Is there any hope for Iraq??   It has been more or less, four years since the occupation of Iraq and the fall of Baghdad with no light at the end of the Iraqi tunnel, it seems that the rollercoaster ride in Iraq has no braking system or a reverse gear. What is the solution for the Iraqi problem?? How we can get out of this dark tunnel??

FylBy, This indeed IS the big Question is it not!  We on this forum do a lot of chatter/self included but bottom line r we getting anywhere with it.  OF course these posts DO serve sources for information, enlightenment, etc., but what can WE/I actually do to stop the madness?

Pestering my friend the "ride um cowboy" in the white house appears to serve zero purpose.  However, will I stop, NOPE.  If I had the funds, willing participants-would organize one HUGE sit in/camp out, pizza party (not a fakeeee like the Demos. recently staged.  Would be the REAL DEAL.  They can "Put that in their pipe(s) and smoke it"!

Throuhout history war has always been, SAD fact of this World that has Satan as it's King!
Worst of this AGAIN is the innocents that suffer.
Only thing that keeps me/many going is the knowledge of a future that IS the real deal where Love/GOD rules!

They say to vote, hummmm, in this USA I do believe that this really doesn't matter, certainly hope that I am indeed wrong.  At this time in history, unfortunately PERHAPS the actual candidates will have zero actual say as to how the chess game is played.  The Lovers of Money appear to govern the "games".

the hope is by the mighty god allah and uniting the mesopotamians together that what i hope or all will be lost and uniting the lands that have been divided before 80 years by the sikes biko agreement that is what made mesopotamia (iraq) very weak by dividing it always.

Dear Sadiq, thx for your reply I do agree the Sikes Biko was the greatest injustice cooked and implemented by ((outsiders)) upon the middleeast, also I do agree that we must be united, divide and conquer, is the basic rule used against conquered nations. Long Live United Iraq, Long Live the Unity of The Iraqi people, My dear Freind, Iraq will rise from the ashes, this is a fact which is very well known by the occupying powers, this small country will lead the world very very soon.[8|][;)][8|]

We don't need to rule the world, but live in peace among ourselves, our neighbours and the rest of the world.  We need a strong leader ship with an iron fist, we need to reconstruct the whole country, we need investers to come in, we need to regenrate agriculture and manufacturing industry.  We need to rebuild and rebuild 35 yrs of damage.  We need to create peace at any cost and invite all Iraqis to come back and help rebuild.  We need to provide the basics, water, electricity, postal service, transport clean and healthy, we need to clean our streets, out town villages and cities.  Clean our houses, and repair them, we need to take all the weapons off the street, and dispose of them.  We need to encourage tourism after we have educated the masses. 
We need to understand to mind other people politics, and concentrate on ours.  Then we might rule the world, as we have so much to offer.  We need to invest in new technology, we need to get busy now.  And one last thing, we need to keep our Mullahs and priests where they belong, in Mosques and Churches away from the goverment buildings.

Dudes, lets not get carried away here. Look, lets put our meglomaniacal Ambitions to one side for a minute and start by establishing a proper government that can provide us with security. Then make use of western technologies and know how to bring our refineries up to scratch. Then our power stations and sewerage plants. Then lets spend some serious money on our schools and universities so every Iraqi student gets the best education possible so we can catch up with the rest of the world. Then lets start spending more serious money on our agricultural and farming culture so one day we can supply the Middle East with our produce. Lets just live and forget about making statements about ruling the world. We've had to endure 30 years of that sort of over bloated, self absorbed verbal diarrhea......time to move on!

All the examples which I have set with respect to Politics and mosques or churches was in order to bring your attention for the fact that the west can not advocate the separation while exercising it, I do agree that they should be  divided  but it should be for all, If you recognise this fact then I have no problem with this issue, with respect to development and investment, I do agree but with limits!! i.e the national sovereignty should not be  touched!!!, and I do believe that Iraqis would be capable of rebuilding  their  country if two conditions were met: (1) No foreign interference or (presence) (2) peace and stability. Their is enough oil in Iraq now!! to fund the rebuilding of 10 destroyed countries like Iraq, I hope that you understand this, with respect to the iron fist point well, I do disagree with that, Iraqis are much higher than the point which U R trying to make, as a Muslim Shi3a , I do believe that Iraq will one day rule the world, the New Babylon as it called in the book of revelations. How do we achieve peace and stability, well as Mr. Chalabi says Debathification first, why, because the Ba3ath Name is derived form the Nazi ideology and here where we have to use the iron hand , and the Detenticalisation of  foreign fingers from Iraq, one of the greatest news which I heard this week was , Denmark facilitating the departure of 200 Iraqi collaborators, this is great news indeed!!! And should happen with respect to rest of collation forces, once this achieved their will be peace and stability in Iraq. Long Live Iraq, and Long Live the Unity of Iraqi people.

With respect, we haven't got enough oil to rebuild ten countries like Iraq, I am afraid to say that we need to write off the Iraqi debt, we need the international Banks to pay us back our money, and the money the last regime managed to hide in swiss bank accounts and elsewhere.  We need investment from private interprises without back handers.  We need to trust one another.  We need scientists, doctors, engineers, we need lecturers, farmers, factory workers, builders, cleaners, postal workers, drivers, pilots, but most of all we need those people to do it from the heart, we need the government that we will trust.

Ditto bro. Lets concentrate on re-building the country before we start making plans to rule the world. We don't want the world, just our country in a state where we can seriously think about having some kind of decent future.

Hi everyone. This is a very sad question and even more difficult to answer because the answer hurts so much. [&o]

I dont think we have a change to get back to a good ending in Iraq. It is too late and too many people who used to be brothers are now eneymys. Too much power is now with militias and gangsters and nothing camn stop them. This conclusion is based on what I see today. I hate to say it but it is really what I think about this. [:(]

Dear Calm, with all due respect, yes we do have oil enough to rebuild the country, yes we do have (Iraqi) sientists to rebuild the nation, once you have the cash then everything could be acheived. with respect to the money hidden in world banks , yes it is true but who is covering the traces for that money?? the world which is supposidly agaisnt all forms of corruption should declare that money not giving sanctuary to the theives???? One of the greatest plans which is being implemented in Iraq Now is the assasination of Iraq Inelictual property, Once you could preserve that property , then you have engineers doctors sientists for the rebuilding process, Having a mentality which could be compared to Badgers i.e. ((you will have no peace in Iraq without our presence- i.e America and the colloation forces)) is not acceptable, the method which is been implemented i.e. No Electricty no water no gas no security to bring about the total collapse in the Iraqi society will not acheive anything, Dear Calm those factories which mention was destroyed by the US during first and second Gulf wars, in total cooperation with the American Instaled regiem in Iraq and I dont want to go deep in the history of Saddam, those engineers could be Iraqis, why you bring an american engineer and pay him $130,000 while you have Iraqi qualified people graduated from the same kind of Institutes???? Why?? restore satability and Iraqis all over the world will be heading back to take a part in their country's reconstruction.My question is, what is the price or the language that we have to pay/use to say to america that YOU ARE NOT WELLCOME HERE?? no matter what happens I think the British are very knowledgable with respect to Iraqi affairs, years of experience in Iraq, did teach them that Iraqis are very hard to carck. My friends

We need a fast rebuilding of the whole country.  I do agree with you that we have well qualified men and women in all fields, we have over 800 Doctors working in Britian alone.  We have scientists working all over the world, we have our pride, and asking for help from other countries to invest in Iraq isn't a crime, we need to open our doors to civilisation, and developement, and I don't mean wearing mini skirts, but that as well.  In the past 35 yrs we advanced nowhere, gone nowhere, but created a society which doesn't respect life.  Killing is the answer for a simple dispute.
We need to trust one another, that an forgien contract is a honest contract, and back handers have been passed.  It will take us more than 50 years to rebuild Iraq to the level of 1968.  Why not have the help of investers and do it in ten years.

what is the cost of opening you door to outside civilization??? a security contractor earn £500 pounds striling in a day tax free????????? what is the cost for doing that...(Me and you in the west we have to beg for a job we have to bear all the Garbage that is loaded on us on daily basis while there are western engineers and doctors just like me and you making up to £120,000 a year tax free in Iraq) do U think this is fare????????[8|][8|][8|] 112 Bilion barrels of Oil and that is an etimate, plus bilions more is unexplored reserve will ensure that we will bring Iraq not to the 21 century but to the 23rd one, Once we clear about the arena from the leaches who are sucking the country's and people's wealth once we are capable of producing a true leader who cares for the people and country then I Gurentee that we would be better than any country in the entire region. With all due respect, I would like to see someone come up with a permanent solution, which will spread peace in Iraq within the next fifteen years.

Well the way I see it, the fat lady was merdered decades ago.
 
However if you are talking tonnage; the I think only a megaton would work.

I beleive that UN should be involve with a time table of complete withdrawal of forgien powers, and more important to show the people that schools are getting better, hospitals are better, roads, refugees, jobs are being created for Iraqis and infstructure is being repaired, then the people will recognise that the invasion is limited to a timetable and the UN is more involved in dealing with issues that are a daily struggle for iraqis.

Dude, this post I do agree with. The UN is the only organization that can do something based on actual experience. There should also be a group of UN inspectors monitoring any progress or lack of it. We do need the UN back in Iraq and the sooner the better.

No.
 The UN has nothing to do here, they were against the war to begin with, and they also got pounded during the early days. The only thing that will end the senseless killing in Iraq is the realization of the fact that the sooner the feud stops the sooner the occupying forces will leave. Therefore, our turban heads should dismantle their militias, pull back their behinds from the political arena, and stick to their religious duties. Hence letting the politicians do their job. That will also expose the reality in the honesty and dedication (if any) of the governmental figures in rebuilding the country, and taking it to a bright and peaceful future.
