I just wanted to let you know that I will be doing 'Walk for Iraq', an event that that’s has been organised to raise money for charity for Saturday the 16th of June 2007. Please read below for further details and see the attached flyer.
Hastings to Rye Event: Walk for charity Objective: To raise money to fund life-saving activities in Iraq Target Amount: £7000
The walk will cover a distance of19 kilometres from which you will emerge enriched by history and picturesque scenery. All funds raised from this event will go to theBritish Red Cross (BRC) to be supplied to theInternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) inIraq, in helping to carry out their life-saving work throughout the country.
The following are just a few of their many initiatives that you would be contributing to directly by sponsoring or participating in our walk:
- Food distribution - Provision of hygiene parcels - Provision of household necessities - Providing access to clean water - Providing access to sanitation services - Provision of medical services - Support for hospitals - Providing access to life saving medical treatments - Re-uniting loved ones through a tracing program
You can also give a donation. If you are overseas, you can still participate by converting your local currency into GBP (Pounds). www.justgiving.com/walkforiraq

This is a very nice idea. If we do this in Iraq they will shoot us because they say we are coperation with the enemy. the militias dont understand the diference between humanitarian and pro american.
Harry: Just wondered if there was any way you guys could keep Baccara's post in the forefront until Saturday the 16th of June 2007. Its a very worthy cause and these initiatives should be encouraged by iraq4you. I've done some due diligence on Baccara and his info checks out. If his post gets relegated to the second page of this forum no one will see it.

I myself don’t have the power to do it; I guess the best way is to write to the admin, he can manipulate a lot of things, and make it happen. Just fill his inbox with personal messages, hopefully he’ll notice it and have time to do it.
On second note. Baccara seems to have good connections, is it possible for him to help us organize Iraq’s day?

We have another Project after this ... To help the "Iraqi Orphan Foundation" they are another Charity organisation who look after Orphans so far they have managed to Adopt over 6000 Children that are Orphans.... So far this is only from the UK... They have another Branch in Canada and UAE....
We are doing our best to help our loved ones .....
