Hello All,
I just wanted to let you know that I will be doing 'Walk for Iraq', an event that that’s has been organised to raise money for charity for Saturday the 16th of June 2007. Please read below for further details and see the attached flyer.

Hastings to Rye
Event: Walk for charity
Objective: To raise money to fund life-saving activities in Iraq
Target Amount: £7000
The walk will cover a distance of 19 kilometres from which you will emerge enriched by history and picturesque scenery. All funds raised from this event will go to the British Red Cross (BRC) to be supplied to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq, in helping to carry out their life-saving work throughout the country.
The following are just a few of their many initiatives that you would be contributing to directly by sponsoring or participating in our walk:
- Food distribution
- Provision of hygiene parcels
- Provision of household necessities
- Providing access to clean water
- Providing access to sanitation services
- Provision of medical services
- Support for hospitals
- Providing access to life saving medical treatments
- Re-uniting loved ones through a tracing program
