Harry, fyi...at one point recently i attempted (failed attemt due to sev. reasons) to open a free food ministry... the us gov't does not allow 501(c)3 (?) organizations to get involved in politics... however, this is a tad different. some ministers may want to avoid this... SIGH!!! maybe i am not correct exactly on this...but you get the general idea anyway. TR

We are a group of Iraqis living abroad, trying to honor all those who have fallen victims to the savagery and blindness of the events in our beloved country Iraq. Although we live in various countries, we have found a way to get together and keep our fellowship, and the memories of our lives in Iraq alive.
We are trying to turn the attention of the world to an event that we are organizing. On the first of June we would like to honor every human life that was wasted in this inhumane conflict, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or creed. But most of all we would like the world to recognize the suffering of the children of Iraq. The daily threats on their lives, the debilitating living conditions, the lack of medication, and the growing number of orphans who need a loving heart, and a caring soul as much as they yearn for a piece of bread to bring a momentary smile to their tearful faces.
The next page is a call for the June 1st event we are organizing and asking for your help in spreading the news and let the world know that we might look insignificant in the eyes of some, nevertheless, we are still humans and we refuse to be overlooked and pushed aside or pushed around.
Well, since I have severe arthritis and fibromyalgia today, now am the "emailing queen", thanks to a nap and some good medication.
I do NOT mess around. Sent many emails out. Not to the average "joe" on the street as many just don't get it, they refuse to see, SIGH!!! Somex's being manic helps as well, ha ha???
We shall see what happens here as requests were sent to major television stations and programs.
Later folks!!! Hey, can someone come here and PLEASE cook me some good middle eastern food? Don't know how long this burst of energy will last and need a good meal.

Hey, it "aint over till it's over"... don't give up yet...M.A.... i think perhaps someone may pull this together soon... i am praying big x.... i am hoping some big wig in the news, pres candidate, etc.... will have some compassion or at least some reason to promote this on a large scale... don't ever ever ever give up was something i learned (learn daily, or relearn).... let's give it a "tad" more x... ok ? Oh...........Mout. A., fyi.... being the oldest of 10 I learned that somex's it is hard to get attention.... so somex's I learned how to raise a "fuss" to be heard! (Occasionally any attention is better than none) I am trying to do "THAT" on this end. don't give up yet. do you hear me? don't even think that this DREAM of 2 minutes of prayer all over, PEACE is finished! I REFUSE to give up at this point. some "big wig" "somewhere" must need this for their own "purpose" whatever, perhaps to get into the "limelight". or maybe, just maybe, just maybe someone in POWER has a ? THIS IS THE BIG QUESTION IS IT NOT?

Ahhh good to note that we have another drinker amongst us. Don't worry about Calm, just give him 2 belly dancers and half a bottle of Ouzo and he'll be in seventh heaven.

anyway, a long read, but extremely interesting.
if we can't get the "power's that be" to take a stand we could organize our own prayer, meditation, whatever on peace.

M.A.... it is not yet June 1st. U can give up all can but i will NOT I refuse ............. if push comes to shove (american lingo) then we get whomever we can to pray at the same x. PRAYER does WORK. PERIOD plain pure and simple.
i strongly suspect "many" will be praying with us... we may not be aware in our physical sense, HOWEVER... in the "Spirit" we may.
does anyone get this or understand what i am trying to say here?
