Dude, this guy is behaving just like a big baby Muqawama. Instead of taking his grevances to the moderators and going through diplomatic channels he decided the best course of action would be to sabotage this thread just because he didnt agree with the content. He did not take into account other members feelings so why should you worry about what he thinks?

Azinorum As far as I can see the videos are relevant and in most cases informative. However in the interest of peace I ask the moderator to remove the thread from the top of topic list.
I still think you are over reacting and till now you haven't pointed out which videos you classify as offensive. As you can see from the above quote I have already made clear that I have no objections to the moderators removing this thread from the top of the list. If you want to take the issue further you'll have to write to the moderators as they are the only ones with the power to make these adjustments.

As I said I have no objection to the thread being taken off the top but you will have to ask Harry or Tigris as I can't do it myself. I don't see how we can be expected to have an open discussion about events in Iraq if we introduce religious censorship to what is basically a political forum. As you said in your comment to Akrawi:

alnai: I'm sure Akrawi is a good man and as you said we want all Iraqis to submit their comments on this forum in order for us to gain a better understanding as to how we are going to rebuild our country together. However you have both insinuated that the videos on this thread are un Islamic even going so far as to say they contained prostitution. I revised the files and didn't find one that contained such material. I would therefore ask Akrawi to point out which of the videos listed below are offensive so we can all decide if his grievances carry any substance. Salam

Akrawi. You are not making this easy on yourself. Didn’t you think it might be unwise to open video files in front of your wife and daughter without checking their content first? With respect this is your responsibility as a husband and father and not the responsibility of the forum or its members. I have repeatedly asked you to identify which of the videos offends you but you don’t seem to know. It’s a simple concept. First you identify the clip and then you write to the moderators and explain why you want it to be removed. I have twice said that I have no objection to having the thread taken off the top of the list. You see I’m trying to help you but what do I get in return? Snide backhanded remarks that carry no substance. Now you can post irrelevant material on this thread if you like but by doing so you risk getting yourself thrown off the forum by the moderators. Given that you obviously enjoy posting to your friends it would be a shame to lose that privilege. I think its time Harry stepped in and moderated this one.

The reason why a subject gets on top of the list is that every time it gets a new post, whether it is a reply, a quote, or a new post. That subject automatically jumps to the top of the list. The subjects are listed in chronological order, newer one first.
Another note, when you type a new reply, you can uncheck the box that indicates “Pin this message to the top” I think that will kick the message back to it’s original location on the list.

I can't find any box with "pin message to the top"? Sorry Harry, looks like you've got your work cut out with our sensitive Kurdish friend. I've asked him repeatedly to identify the offending video but I don't think this is the real reason behind his histrionics.
Back on topic. If you haven't seen the full video do your best to see it. Iraq for Sale exposes how the big boys like Bechtel, Haliburton and KBR are raking it in while Iraq still doesn't any basic amenities. To give you an idea of how much these war profiteers are making, everytime a US soldier needs his laundry bag done he has to take it to KBR who charge $95 for the privilege. Quite a tidy profit considering the real cost would be around $5-$7.

Harry. Nope, I don't have this feature so it must be a moderator only option. However since Akrawi has violated membership rules I would have thought you might at least ask him to identify the videos that are offensive. This way you can moderate and judge whether his juvenile protest is justified. Like I said I checked the videos and don't believe his motives are based on the content of the clips posted on this thread. I've done my best to be civil with this guy up till now but there is a limit to my patience!

اولا جلب الافلام الخليعة الغربية ووضعها للمشاركين الذين عادة ما يكونوا من الجنسين الا انه نتيجة ذلك اصبح عزوف عنه من قبل النساء نظرا لاسائتهم من خلال نشر هذه الصور الخليعة
ثانيا فرض احد المواضيع الذي تعرفونه في اول القائمة على القراء مما تسبب في نفور عام وتمرد القراء على هذا العمل الشائن وهو نوع من الاستبداد الفكري وامتهان راي الاخرين المشاركين فيه
وعليه اطلب منكم العمل على ارجاع الموقع كما كان سابقا والغاء هذا الموضوع المتعلق بالافلام الخلاعية والذي يستعمله هؤلاء المراهقين وتقبل اسمى عبارات التقدير والسلام عليكم
