Salam Calm. You'll notice how the Saudi government flew him back home by private jet. What message does that send to other potential Irahabis? I don't believe he didn't know what he was getting into and only claimed this to save his ass which should have been toast anyway. They should just shoot these people and be done with it. Why did the Iraqi government hand him over to the Saudi authorities? Surely he should have been tried by an Iraqi court for crimes against the Iraqi people just like Saddam was. They are the lowest form of humanity and throughout the interview the bomber had a wry smile on his face as if he was having a private joke. He showed no remorse for the people he murdered. Straight to hell Insha Allah.

Mr Calm

Salam my friends

I watched this interview 3 times to study his body language, and what he was saying.  His answers were prepared in advance, he was taught well, and I did like that first class nose job.  He came to Iraq knowing well what he was about to do, he survived unfortunetly, and he lost face with his leaders.
He should have been taken to court, and I don't understand why he didn't!!!! I agree with you azinorman.

Politics is a dirty business. Who knows what deals were made under the table? Just why was this twit given such preferential treatment by both Iraqi and Saudi authorities? How many other Saudi nut jobs have they caught and let go? As you said the whole interview looked like a set up. The interviewer was doing his absolute best to make it seem as if this fool was the victim! Doesn't say much for Saudi efforts to help stem the violence and makes a mockery of the security agreement they signed that other funder of terrorism in our country - Iran. Its about time Iraq stopped looking to the Arabs for support because they have proven time and time again that they're not to be trusted. All talk and no action.

Mid-East vow to curb sectarianismBBC News Sunday, 4 March 2007 Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah have agreed to work together to fight sectarian strife in the Middle East. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6415605.stm

Its about time that Visa's should be issued to all arabs visiting Iraq.  I wouldn't grant anyone any visa, it isn't a holiday destination first, a second I don't trust any arabs, they have agreed on not to agree.  The border must be closed from all sides, and stronger army petrols, with all modern aids and technology to stop those idiots entering our country.

I'll buy that. In fact I've been saying this for sometime now. Cut of the supply and the heads will fall.

I think my friend its time for you and me to run the country.  I said it years ago.  We need a powerful leadership, and with respect to our government, they need to add young blood, tough blood and most important an experienced blood.  We don't need a full change of government, we have democracy now, and its time we respect that.  The government needs help from Iraqis, because no one understands Iraqis as we do.

hello mr calm. do you realy think this is democracy? i dont think iraq was ready for this new politics. it will need more time for it to be a democracy becasue this is american style of democracy. iraq should take time to have its own style democracy and introduce it slowly. i hope with all my heart this works realy i do. i would like to visit bagdad again when it is democratic but i dont think it will happen for a long time. iraq need a strong leader and like mr alawi sais first there must be security before democracy. this is just my thought.

I have to agree with you on this one. We wernt ready for democracy in its current format. This is all a Bush point scoring exercise but let not go there for the moment. The whole exercise despite its flaws and cracks was a good gage to set and build on for the future. Leave democracy out of the equation for the time being because we need to establish security before we can have the luxury of democracy. We need more time to understand the process and become familiar with the candidates. We need to educate the public about how it works and expose its imperfections so there are no unrealistic expectations. This is something to aspire to in the future but for now we need to secure the country first and I see no other way than to implement strict marshal law.Temporary security crackdowns are not the solution.
