Being that you both only want to refer to Mesopotamia’s religious past, let me give you an alternative history that has nothing to do with religion. Iraq/Mesopotamia is the first known civilization in the world. Our indigenous peoples gave the world the earliest writing and some of the first sciences, mathematics, laws and philosophies in the world. Most of these achievements came 5000 years before Islam but this was a long time ago and people have selective memories, you and your friend included.

Lol. I’m happy that you finally spelt my name right. So according to you all Americans like to live in peace? Let’s examine your statement. Given that the US didn’t have sovereignty until after their revolutionary war ended we will take it from there. In less than 200 years the Americans have started or been actively engaged in the following conflicts:
War of 1812, Mexican-American War, American Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Afghanistan and Gulf war II.
That’s quite an achievement for a peace loving country, don’t you agree. Let’s not forget that your country actually belongs to the Native Indians and Alaskans who were unceremoniously shoved to one side and oppressed for 300 years (they still are). Let’s not forget the wonderful civil rights record your country has. It was only 40 years ago that a black man was forbidden from using the same toilets, eating in the same restaurants and prohibited from sending his children to the same schools as his white countrymen.
